I want to get new grips for my 1911s. Any suggestions outside of thefinergrain.com or esmeralda.cc? Both of those sites appear to have very fine grips, but I always like to do a bit of research before I purchase.

Check on Ebay. They have pages and pages.

I know this thread is a little older, but thought I'd add to it as its is aptly named if someone searches for 1911 grips.

Here's another plug for eBay as a source of grips, especially member: shootists
I won a shootists auction for some quilted pink ivory wood grips (under $18 shipped);they arrived quickly and are of good quality:

I have switched both of my 1911's to VZ grips (carry & competition). I find that in the hot Texas sun I can maintain great contact with them. Especially, with the weak hand as it has minimal grip real estate available to it using the two hand grip.
