New grip screws completely change the look of my beat up TRP

I put some some new grip screws on my beat up Springfield Armory TRP and think they complete the change of it's look.
It will never be a Barbecue gun, but I like the change. Is there such a thing as a campfire gun?

I don't know pal, looks like it might make the cut for BBQ gun to me. If there wasn't a campfire gun category, there should be.

Grip screws do help a lot on some guns. Looks good.

I like the grips quite a bit myself. I must have been living right when I bid on them. The auction was for these and a set of G10 grips. Nobody else bid, so they were mine for under $110 shipped.

The bottom screws did sit a little proud on both sides. I think you can just see that in this auction photo (nice that he had them on a TRP):

I put slim bushings on the bottom and that fixed that!

I recently did the same on a couple of my Sigs.

Those are some good looking SIGs!

I've got a set of fancy, psychedelic screws on my SP-01. I was going to plate them with black nickel, but the more I looked at them, the more I thought they are kind of jewel like and I left them as is.

That's part of the fun, playing around with grips and stuff. I got a bunch of crap for swapping out the grips on my Legion. But hey we do it because we can :=]

Sometimes have to get creative with stag/horn/etc. Can't control the thickness like wood and stuff. I have a few with mismatched bushings too.
Only your grip installer knows for sure.

Now you have renewed his desire for a TRP that has been simmering in the back of his future gun list!!!!

Yup, I believe the convict is right (he has a mom?). Looks like a short trigger to me too. If memory serves Greg is partial to the short triggers.
At least in one mode, for carry or for target, don't remember which.

I too would love to see the collection, some cool stuff. Might call it an accumulation perhaps.

Convict has a mom huh? My mom tells people she found me under a rock and oft times wishes she'd put me back. Guess I should feel bad but I've lived with it all my life, kind of accustomed to it I reckon.

He has a good eye, I did swap in a short trigger. I can live with medium length triggers, but prefer the short.
It sure would have been nice to see you all this winter, but I agree about sticking close to home. Hopefully next year!

Yes, we were very disappointed that we won't be traveling this winter, but that's life. Lord willing, it will happen next year!
