  • Holsters for E9

I've got an E9 on its way and was wondering what type of hybrid holsters are compatible with it. After doing a little research, it appears that this gun was dc'd some years ago and there is not a lot of info out there. I'm assuming that it has the same dimensions as the K9--please let me know if I have assumed wrong. I'm wondering if holsters that fit a P9 or CW9 work as well? I plan on carrying in 3-4 o'clock position. Any help greatly appreciated!

    I found this on another forum. E 9 compared to K 9

"They are basically the same gun but the sights on the E9 are plactic, the K9 has rubber grips while the E9 has hard polymer grips and the K9 comes with two magazines."

I have an E9, and I've found that just about any kydex holster that will fit a CM9 or PM9 will fit it ... as long as the end for the barrel is open enough for the extra barrel length to stick out.

Thanks for the input so far.

Holsters made for polymer models may be a tiny bit too large, or at least give the E9 some wriggle room.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

OK, here's what I would up getting:
Foxx hybrid that was listed for CW9/CM9/P9/PM9. It seems to fit fairly snug. When actually worn, the extra tension from the belt makes it feel very secure.
The belt is from A Better Belt USA. It is nearly .25" thick, 2-layer bull hide. This is my very first "real" carry rig. Thanks to all those who offered their advice.
I can't really compare these items relative to other brands but they both seem to be well made.

Kydex holsters that have "wiggle room" can be reworked with a heat gun. I tweaked one of my wife's slightly with a small butane torch once.
