A very expensive K9

I can look beyond the wear of a carry piece, it can be refinished. Our stainless, custom, edc K9's show worn rubber grips, tarnished grip crews, scratches, worn sight bluing, etc.
There's some really nice work done on this pistol,
Angled cut & beveled front of dust cover ( which gives me an idea for our K9's), precise checkering, welded on mag well, insert at the rear tang of the frame ?, Custom made rear sight, reshaped ejection port, beveled front of slide.
I don't understand the polished left hand upper grip panel.
These are things I see, but like any well renowned pistolsmith, I'm sure there are things done that aren't seen or appreciated by buyers, to improve functionality.
People will buy a custom gun at a premium price so they don't have to wait years to have one built. Unfortunately this one is a Kahr and IMHO won't sell quickly. If it were a 1911 by Ned Christansen, it probably would be gone already, to an in the know gun enthusiast.
The seller is P.T. Partners, a well known retailer of custom firearms from America's most respected gunsmiths and custom shops

Is the fact that it was one of Christansen's carry pieces or that it's a 1986 made Kahr add to the price ? It's not worth it to me only because of this and not the workmanhip.
