  • VZ Grips

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not really satisfied with the limited number of options when it comes to grips for the K series of pistols.

I contacted VZ Grips to see if they have or will have sometime in the future plans to produce their excellent grips for the Kahr. If any of you have try these grips on other pistols that they do offer grips for, you'll understand my interest in getting a pair for my K9 and would hope you will too.

What I would like to do is start a poll to see how much interest there is and forward this information to VZ to convince them that there is a market.
    26
    Yes
    73.08%
    19
    No
    26.92%

    The poll is expired.

To me, the soft polymer K9 grips are utterly perfect.

I'd go for some slim ones for the MK9 ---Kinda like the original but with Vz's aggressive checkering.

Yup, for an MK 9 here as well... SOME options would be nice, besides factory (Houge) wood....

I'd probably give them a try and this from a guy that whittles his own.

On that note I think I'm whittling on my last set as we speak. Just to complicated and time consuming for me anymore.

I may whittle a set from time to time and offer em up but not looking to make anymore.

I'd welcome a VZ option for sure.

Yeah, have VZ put me down as good for a set. I will be buy a second K-9 in the future and would never pass up a good deal on an MK-9/40...

I put a set of their "tactical diamonds" grips on my J-frame Smith, but would want a "320" finish on a carry Kahr. I need to mute the points on my J-frame. I keep pocket change in with the holstered gun and reaching in for change will grate the flesh from your hand.

                Shoots good though.
I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
                "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
                "more stuff than you are"
                God Bless our Troups!

I understand the attraction to VZ, but Hogue already has the CNC design for Kahr grips and make micarta, so they could whip out a set pretty easily.

I'm sorry, but after you've had the best you forget the rest. I'm a Bawanna Grip kinda guy. (A little sucking up doesn't hurt when you get as close to the edge as I do sometimes.)

I'm tearing up a little bit here.

You incidentally are the "edge". Should change your screen name to "The Edge".

It's actually a close race between you and the sheep herder. Don't want to mention his name and start a stampede.

Personally, I think the best solution is to buy a set of the smooth Hogue grips then send them off to the Colonel for a little magic.

I'm totally on board with that plan. I like the magic part. Making them is rather tedious and not really a lot of fun.

My hats off to the boys with CNC machines that can make in 10 minutes what takes me a whole weekend.
