This past weekend, I traded my Ruger LC380 to a guy and I got ahold of a 1998 K9 -- today was my first trip to the range with it, and there's no doubt... I'm in love. Maybe it's the extra weight of the all-metal frame, but shooting the K9 felt awfully like shooting the LC380 -- I didn't really feel that much of an appreciable increase in recoil. I put around 150 rounds downrange just to get acquainted with the gun, and it was extremely comfortable in the hand (I do have small hands, after all :P) and easy to control. I'm no master marksman, but I was able to put accurate shots on the torso of a man-shaped target from 10-20 feet and felt good doing it.
Shot a mix of the range ammo -- 115gr brass Blazers -- and my own carry ammo -- 115gr Critical Defense, and no hiccups, misfires, or problems of any kind. This will absolutely be my new main carry weapon, without a doubt. And to think, I didn't even have to spend cash on it
