I didn't know where in this forum to post this question but since what I have read says the E9 is an "economy" version of the K9 I thought I would get better answers here...anyway, my question is what finish is on the frame of my duo tone E9, I am picking it up tomorrow , it has the stainless looking lower and black slide, I have read that the E pistols are carbon steel vs the stainless that the K9 is, so I'm wondering if the E9 is carbon steel what did kahr use to finish the lower frame.

Good find Greg. Checking out that weight gives an appreciation for what a fine firearm it is and its all metal too.The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I picked it up today from my ffl, it clearly says stainless steel on the frame, does anyone know what the pin underneath the slide lock is for? I don't remember the 2 K9's I had having that pin there.Comment
