  • K9 Blem

I picked up a new K9 Blem yesterday. I ordered it from Bud's for a real good price. It appears that the only blem on the gun is a sloppy installation of the roll pin on the right side. There are some marks around the hole like they 'missed' with the punch and the pin is a bit mushroomed/flattened. Also the slide is a little looser than my other Kahr's.

    So far a great find.

Good for you! A k9 or mk9 is in my radar. Gorgeous things, they are!

Blemished K9s are a great value IMHO. Way to go... enjoy.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

My CM40 was a "blem", and neither me or my FFL could find anything wrong with it, great buy!

Congratulations. I got a blem K9 from Buds a while back and I'm still not sure I can find the blem. The slide being loose is not a blem. My slide is tight; but, I had a K9 a few years ago that I regreted selling that was not a blem and it had a very loose slide.

            Somewhat newbie here.

Can someone explain to me what "blem" means? I mean I'm guessing it means "blemished," but are blemished Kahr K9s that common?

            Might be a stupid question. . .

Not stupid! And blemished is correct. Most who buy blems can't detect where the blemish is. For some reason, the manufacturer labels them as blemished, a benefit to those wanting the gun at a reduced price.

                Ah. I see.

When I bought my Kahr K9 (and only Kahr) I didn't inspect it properly at the store. Got home and saw a LONG scratch down the slide. Don't know how I missed it. I mean, it was as if Freddy Krueger had been using it as his EDC.

Contacted Kahr, sent them pics. Sent it in, and about 6 weeks later got it back with a new slide! Really nice. . .
