Thats s beauty. The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I am the OP. Thanks for posting that. It looks like you got a really sweet deal. Your post gives me encouragement that I made a good choice ordering the K9 Elite Blem from Bud's. I will know in about 2 hours when I go pick it up from my FFL. I am hoping my outcome is as good as yours...Originally posted by schrobbie View PostCalifornia resident here. Just received my K9 "blem" from Bud's. Neither myself or my gunsmith (who is also the FFL who receives my Bud's orders) could figure out why it would be classified as a "blem." No mark on the trigger guard, either (I was told there'd be a mark denoting it's "blem" status... none to be found!)
Note: this is the regular K9 (not elite), blem, without night sights, designated by Bud's as "KAHR K9 9MM 3.5 SS 8RD CA LEGAL BLEM ZK9093"
It does not have a Loaded Chamber Indicator and does not have a Magazine Disconnect Safety.

OP: hope you enjoy the Elite 03 version! That polishing is nice.

I'm betting it will be. And heck, if you don't like it, refuse to accept it at yout FFL and it will be shipped back to Bud's. As far as I know, they cover the return costs if you haven't DROS'd it yet. That's the key: don't sign anything if you're unhappy with the condition of the gun!Originally posted by shlike View PostI am the OP. Thanks for posting that. First K9 I shot was from a guy in the lane next to me at my local range. He had just gotten the same one you're getting (Elite 03 Blem from Bud's, without night sights) and was testing it out. Neither of us could find even the slightest cosmetic defect, and the thing shot beautifully.
He had only used 1911's prior to that K9 and couldn't get the thing to group. He had me try it and it grouped just fine. At that point the only Kahr I'd ever shot a lot was my PM9, so after emptying one magazine of rounds through the K9 I was immediately sold. Can't even compare it with the PM9, as they are tremendously different firearms, but suffice it to say that the K9 is an absolute joy to shoot in comparison with the PM9.
Nothin wrong with the PM9 (LOVE mine), but there's just A LOT right with the K9!
Good luck! I'll have my fingers crossed for ya.

Seriously though, if you are ever in the Lompoc/Vandenberg area let me know and I'll get you an invite to shoot at our club. A member has created a unofficial website for us at www.vafbgunclub.com.
This invitation is open to all. The manager is a personal friend of mine and is an all around great guy, great shooter, fantastic conversationalist and a decent speller!23 years in a Federal Penitentiary, 6x8 double bunked rooms with toilets

Update!! Update!!
I am the OP. So I picked up my K9 Elite blem from my FFL this afternoon, and I am pleased to report that my experience is just like schrobbie's. Both my FFL and I went over the gun and could find no blemish at all, nor is there a "B" stamped anywhere on the gun. So basically I have a new K9 Elite for $563.00 + $20.00 FFL fee, so I am all-in for $583.00. I'm a happy camper so far. Will be taking it to the range tomorrow morning, and I will post a range report after I get home. Also the gun is screaming out for the Kahr checkered wood grips, so I will be ordering those next week.
