Trigger Scale

Has anyone used a Trigger Scale or own one? I was thinking of getting one and checking some of my guns. I would guess some of them are better than others. I am looking for accuracy. I would like your input on what you use and what you would recommend.

I've got the Lyman electronic gage. It seems to be very accurate and I've never had any problems with it. It also comes in a nice vinyl case.

I guess I the Lyman seems to be the one to get in the electronic, I am now wondering if the spring ones are any good?

one of those spring type scales for guns and that fokker is accurate +- 5 pounds. Just sayin. There are days when my PM9 has a 3# trigger and thenthe next day it is 9#. with no mods. Love my kahr

I was gonna go out shootin today but when I grabbed my PM9 it was all wet, and I just figured it knew it was going to the range and that it would get smacked around alot for not shooting in the same hole. That all I could figure how it was all wet. It is dry as a pop corn fart when my buddy shoots it, so go figure..

did u see where that kid got his arm chewed off by a gator in florida, dumb sh!t when swimming in a river that was posted gators, and he hung his shirt on the sign.

Now that last part was a lie, but Just sayin

I don't know why they had to shoot that gator to get that kids arm back they could have just feed him a goldwiner and he would have burped the arm up. Just sayin

+1 . . . Very easy to improvise as well. using a plastic grocery bag as the weight holder.

But, somebody keeps eating the chocolate bars that I use for the least significant digit.

Ok, in the spring scales I see some of them have a plastic outside maybe there are some with metal outsides, are there any that will give a consistent reading? Something about the plastic makes them seem cheep?

the scaleI have it spring and it looks cheap, and trust me it is very cheap. It varies alot, actually for me it is not a scale that I would want to quote any poundages on. I bought it cheap, and I should have known better. I do think it would be excellent for weight dead deer, as plus or minus 5# should mean nuttin. Just sayin.

I have a few tire gauges that are spring loaded and they vary to much and then I bought a nice digital gauge and that sucker is dead on within a half pound 9 out of 10 times tested. IMO if ur sincere about a true measurment, no doubt the digital scales today are better. Just sayin.

Trigger pull gauges are generally as consistent as their users. Lyman, RCBS and Pachmayr are just a few to consider.
