  • CW9 problems

    hi,new member here.

i have a cw9 my son left me before he deployed (purchased march 2012 in california). as far as i know he had approx 300 rounds through it with a few failures in the first 150 rounds after that it's been flawless. i ran 8-9 rounds through it, then i cleaned it but noticed now the trigger bottoms out (not against grip) but then you must really squeeze hard after it bottoms to break.

almost like the trigger bar is too long or stretched .

i had no difficulty during disassembly / reassembly any ideas?

Just to clarify on your post: did you notice the trigger problem after cleaning or while you were shooting? It might help the experts here to figure the problem....
I just love that new Kahr smell

I'm not one of the resident experts here but I've had a really gritty trigger one time and after blowing out the striker channel real good it went away.
Also check the trigger bar and make sure there's not some gunk or a burr rubbing on something there.

towards the back to the trigger bar there's a small clip not sure what it is but it could be catching on that?
IDK...good luck, keep us posted on what you find.

Have you watched the Kahr Take Down Video... very advisable BEFORE disassembly?

              I like post #4.

If you do what's in post #4 and it doesn't help, take off the slide and pull the trigger back and forth. If it's gritty or stiff with the slide off it's in the frame. If it's smooth it's the Slide. then at least you might know whether to check out the frame and trigger bar, or take apart the slide and clean it up really good inside and out.

              Just a thought.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.
