  • Gun appreciation day Jan 19, 2013

Have you decided what you will be doing for gun appreciation day?

My husband and I will definitely make our voice heard but we haven't decided
    exactly which event to attend.

I feel it is EXTREMELY important that we send Washington a message!!!!!!

Thinking about making a trip to the state capitol w/ a group to visit our state reps. Haven't decided yet.

I'm going to the range. But I have a feeling there will be a line around the block and no parking, so I may go to the LGS instead, to drool over empty display cases.

Hey Chrish, if something more interesting doesn't come up we are headed to our State capitol; Lansing MI.

We must make our voices heard!!!!

Good for you! Thank you for doing that. Lansing is a bit too far for me, I'm on the east coast, Virginia.

Probably going to the range at this point. Might buy some ammo if I can find any.

I was initially planning on the trip to the state capitol w/ a local group. But, a comment was made to be weary of reporters and how you address questions and the tone you have. I decided that given my current state of mind, the cause might be better served NOT having me present and let calmer heads do the lobbying. I'll rejoin the activities when my blood stops boiling.

We have a local gun show that weekend and I just thought about one of the "features" of Florida's Concealed WEAPONS Permit... I can carry ONE of my stun guns... along with my usual knife... in case of Anti-Gun protesters! If they want to get up "close and personal" I can fend them off with less than lethal force.

Oregon State Capital Building is 10 minutes from my house, so I'll be heading downtown for a look-see. Curious to see how many attend!

I just remembered that I have some out-of-date pepper/cs spray, too, with UV die. I need to get a pouch and that out, too, for standoff protection! I like choices!!

we are heading to the AZ capitol...I am going with a group from my church, there is another group from my workplace that is going too.

I figure the LGS and shooting ranges have had their days since the media discussion started a few weeks ago. We need to bring off the gun folks together in one place at one time to show the numbers. Hunters, collectors, bird hunters, paper hole makers, plinkers, CAS folks, steel shooters, pumpkin shooters and even the dirt bag trash leaving "old TV" shooters that don't clean up.

If asked.....I am here to support the 2A celebration. If asked anything else....I have no comment. Don't get sucked in.

We are also leaving the camo and tacticool crap at home. Polo shirts and be smart.

Ahmen, we need to look like responsible, non radical Americans who love their country and all it "truly" represents.

I aim to look normal... my usual Lands End Polo(Peru or China) and shorts(Bangladesh) with low quarter socks(USA!, I think) and my Rockports(Vietnam). Looper belt(USA), but gun will be left in the vehicle... or at least unloaded and zip-tied. I'm still looking for some Night Sights for my Mag-na-ported P40!

But also my Gerber FAST Draw(China) and Sabre CS/Pepper Spray(USA!) will be along... just in case. I'm sure the latest 1.5 MV Stun Gun is made in China. I haven't tested this on myself! The noise will make the protesters wet themselves!

Hmmm... I usually don't wear a cap... but something Patriotic might be called for... maybe my B52D Bombardier cap(greasy and oily from many bomb may inspections!) with some pins... SEA War Games, or the like.
