  • Warranty turnaround time lately?

I sent my CW380 in 10 days ago for a warranty repair for light primer strikes. I'm wondering what other warranty repair turnaround times have been lately?

The customer service rep told me they are running 4-6 weeks behind right now?!?!

Were in the middle of the Holiday season. Expect delays. Kahr only recently finished making the move to their new location. Does it really matter how long it takes? If so, then you don't own enough guns. JMHO

They generally provide you with a worst case scenario. I suspect it will be less than 4-6 weeks.

A lot depends on what they find they need, if they have to wait for parts off the production line, this could add time but I doubt that will be the case here.

I'll cross my fingers for a much shorter turnaround time for you. I know being away from my guns can be painful.

It took approx. 3 weeks to get my T9 back. The gunsmith who worked on my gun called me with info about the problem, and what they were doing to resolve it. I also got a call from him when it shipped.

Now that's unusual. Usually it just shows up with no notification. That's the way it should be.

Hope it becomes a regular thing.

            Oh, I have alternatives.
I was just curious what to expect.

I received shipping notification (probably) because they had to replace the frame on my gun, so I had to do a second BGC and FFL transfer. I've not had experience with a firearms shipment other than this one, so my knowledge is limited.

Got my CW380 back from warranty repair. Took 4 weeks door to door and that included Christmas and New Year's week.

How long does it take them to build a pistol from scratch? Even with the holidays that seems long. I sent a Ruger in on a Monday had it back by Friday. Glock lets me wait in the lobby.

Just over 4 weeks for a p380 and it went back the next day. Did that come off as not happy? Yup!

You had me going there for a minute, Scarywoody, untilyou said that Glock lets you wait in the lobby. We all know that Glocks are synonymous with perfection and never need to be returned for warranty work. Nice try though.

                          you nailed it.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I waited 4 weeks for a CM9 to be repaired. The Kahr game of demanding that a replacement firearm be shipped to an FFL and then refusing to cover the cost of the FFL is crap. If a consumer ships a firearm to the original manufacturer for service and the manufacturer has to replace the serialized part as long as it is the IDENTICAL model it can be returned directly to the consumer WITHOUT going through an FFL.

That isn't Kahr's fault. It's a requirement of the BATF. Kahr doesn't play games. Kahr follows the law. Now, go complain to the BATF and see where it gets you.
