I was reading another thread about next rounds moving forward in the mag lips as a round was chambered. I always felt this was normal, but I never liked that the top rounds would always slide forward in the mag lips when in a mag pouch or pocket.
The only pouch I found that prevented this was the Hume with it's rounded bottom, but unfortunately Hume stopped making that design, so I wet molded the other Hume pouch.

After reading the thread I finally decide to see what I could do about the top rounds slipping out if the mag were dropped or hit. I don't think I'm the only one with this problem.
So we have a total of 8 K9 mags

I measured the width between the feed lips at the rear, just before the lips flare out, and at the end of the flare
The width measurements at the rear, middle, and nose were all over the place
Rear Middle Nose
.329 .334 .352
.330 .335 .343
.328 .334 .328
.332 .335 .354
.324 .325 .350
.324 .325 .348
.329 .340 .360
.332 .332 .351
So I decided to adjust all the lips close to the same width with a tool I made years ago to adjust feed lips

I decided to go with .326,325 for the rear. .326, 327 for the middle, and .330 the nose.
Here's a comparison of a before and after of the feed lips

We went out and fired each full mag twice without any ftf issues and any other kind of problem. I then remeasured the widths and they stayed the same.
Another plus we discovered was that the next round under the chambered one didn't slip out as far from under the feed lips

Next I'll do this mod on our PM9 mags
