who carries their MK appendix area and what holster works for you?

I recently ordered the Mitch Rosen IWB, so we'll see how that one works for the 1 o'clock position.

I carry my PM-9 appendix style in a Silent Thunder Slim II Appendix Carry by garrettindustries. I LOVE it. I find that the lower my waistband is, the better it conceals. I carry at about 12:30, i.e., the slide is just a hint right of midline. If I go to far to the right, it interferes with my leg. I don't want the slide to poke my leg when I sit down. Find the sweet spot and you'll forget it's there. I keep two spare 8 rounders in a Recluse double mag pouch in my back left pocket. Hardly know that's there either.

At the risk of repeating myself, I carry my CM9 AIWB in a PJ Holster holster. There's something invigorating about having a 9MM pointed at the family jewels. Makes me feel young again.

seriously thou, the thought of the muzzle pointing to my most valued area is a bit unsettling.... hopefully that feeling passes right???

AIWB all the time w/ a Don hume at about 1:30/2:00. Works for me.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Just ordered a Desbiens Gun Leather IWB #4 Hardcore in horsehide for my PM9. Really nice stuff. Take a look at his site: desbiensgunleather.com

I also use a Silent Thunder IWB for my MK9. I sometimes carry it at 4 o'clock, but lately been trying it a 1 o'clock and I like it very much.

I finally got the mitch rosen IWB, and first impressions are good... looks to be well made and comfortable. It covers the trigger well, that's always important. I've noticed though with this small MK9, can only draw it with like 2-3 fingers, but no big deal.

I've carried an MK9 in a High Noon Mr Softy appendix for a few years now. No problems and very comfortable.

I have been thinking about the IWB for my mk's for a little while now and now that its summer in Michigan all of a sudden for the last week I'm caught without one. The more I read the more I can't decide so keep posting so I can make up my mind. I'm using a Desantis OWB right now but I'll get there with the IWB.

I'll just add my 2¢. I have been experimenting with AIWB carry, which for me is GutIWB because I'm a lefty. I got a zero cant kydex holster for my CM9 which works fine at the hip, but when I try it at about 10:30, it digs uncomfortably into my leg when I am seated. What is needed, IMO, is a negative (or crossdraw) cant to move the muzzle end towards the center where it will clear the leg. Also, thin, soft leather and a rounded bottom edge will help. The kydex is too stiff for my soft belly.

I am currently working with James Dean to make a negative cant leather holster that will work there with my J-frame. The negative cant has a couple of advantages:
                        1. As I said above, it makes it clear the leg when sitting.
                        2. It presents the gun at an angle that is perfect for drawing. Put your hand at the AIWB position with your wrist strait and look at the angle.
                        3. With the J-frame (a S&W 638 with rounded hammer shield), it makes the grip lay horizontally just above my belt. My middle aged spread expands above it, making any shirt drape over it with no printing. A zero cant would have the grip sticking up where my belly would push it out, printing badly and causing the muzzle to dig into my belly.

What I found with my CM9 is that, like all semi-autos, the slide is almost an inch thick from the front to behind where you grip the gun. The back of the slide causes printing problems for me, and the bulk of it below the waist does, too. Whereas, the J-frame has a frame that is just 1/2" wide and it starts angling down toward the grip 1 1/2" forward from where the CM9 slide ends. That makes it much easier, for me, to conceal at the AIWB position. We are all built differently, and for someone with a flatter belly this wouldn't be the problem that is is for me with the CM9. So, the CM9 will stay in my PJ Holster at 8:30, where it is absolutely perfectly comfortable and concealable.

                        JMHO. YMMV.
                        Very interesting...

I use a leather holster from DeSantis, which looks similar to the Rosen shown in your link, for my Glock 26. Mostly pocket carry my PM9 but will occasionally carry AIWB using a Remora holster. My personal feeling is that a decent clip holster would be a better choice than the Remora.

One thing about IWB (appendix or other) I have noticed is if your holster doesn't have the slide covered you will sweat on the pistol, especially if no undershirt. In the middle of summer I wear OWB when doing yard work etc.
