  • range trip today

Went to the range today with one of my p238's my Kimber Eclipse 5inch and my mk9. Put 50 thru the p238 no issues, nice shooter. Put 50 thru the Kimber no issues, accurate but the grip is too big for my hands. Then I put 100 thru the mk9 with no issues. The mk9 is my favorite. There is just something special about these guns (I have a mk40 also). Maybe it is because no one else ever has one there or maybe it is the way they are made I don't know. For those who own one or have owned one let me see your opinions about them. Thanks.

If the grip seem large, your Eclipse would probably be more comfortable wearing a set of Bawanna Super Thin grips found in this thread: http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=5082

The set he made for my CBOB appears above. What doesn't show is how much more nicely this gun shoots with Bawanna Thin Grips.

It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.

he certainly does have super talent.Hecould make grips and sell them easily if he wante dto get that involved in it..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I've had my MK9 Elite for almost 2 years now, and have a love/hate relationship with it. Love it because it is sooooo nicely made. Maybe not hate it, but I still struggle with accuracy. Some days I can literally put many shots through the same hole at 7 - 10 yds, but at other times the targets look like they were hit by a shotgun.

But I keep trying, because I am stubborn.

In contrast, I can just pick up .45's like my Kimber Ultra CDP or HK 45c, and be very consistently accurate.

I still don't know if it's the short 3-finger grip on the MK9 or something else that doesn't work well for me. But I keep trying. One thing that has really helped me improve is practicing with a LaserLyte LT-9 so I can see where I am shooting, even in my house.

I have also been carrying it every so often in a Galco PH 460 pocket holster, even if I don't know why. It's heavy! Not many BG's around here, but lots of little varmints. They'd better watch out!

Absolutely love my MK9 Elite! Just put about 50rds through it today. I find myself excited even to clean the gun once I get home. Its just one of those guns that I find myself admiring, especially with the wood grips!
