  • MK9 Recoil Spring Assembly not compatible?

    Have CM9 and MK9.

Appears that the CM9 'stainless' guide rod assembly won't work in the MK9?

Attempted to install it in the MK9 slide, and the hole underneath the muzzle on the MK9 is larger diameter than on the CM9, hampering the uncaptured recoil spring from securing itself.

Am I doing something wrong here?

did u read anywhere in kahrs manual or webb site that it is supposed to??? Two different semi's. One is polymer one is all steel and I do think the MK barrel lug is even different..

Its been awhle since I have had my hands on a MK guide rod. but is it not a full captive recoil assembly from kahr, where as the cm9 , the outter spring is able to be replaced with ease

Kahr does offer a stainless steel guide rod for the MK series but to myt knowledge they have never offered a stainless steel guide rod for the cm series and ur right, as they are both different and willnot inter change.

I stand corrected if I am off base on any of the above.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Jocko, you are correct. They are two completely different animals. The MK is a CAPTIVE dual spring assembly.

Sweetknuckles ... the only issue you have is that you have two different pistols that do NOT have interchangeable spring/guide rod assemblies.

        Roger, thanks guys.

Didn't mean to come across as dissatisfied in any way...was just suprising to me that they didn't use the same recoil assembly.

        Was just sorta hopin.
