  • just another Kahr CS episode

Just another Kahr CS episode that turned out to be stellar as all my other ones. I lost a grip screw on my mk40 while shooting and did not notice until I got home and broke it down to clean it. I looked all over for them from hardware to gun stores and no luck. To shoot both my mk's I had to keep swapping screws. A couple of Emails to Jay at Kahr and with all they have going on I received not one but two in the mail today free. They have always been great to me and I feel that Jay and Kahr deserve this post on the forum for other viewers to see.

I like to see posts like this! I have been meaning to post my experience with Kahr as well. I was having trouble with one of my guns and they quickly replaced the frame. I worked with both Jay and Jeff. Both were very responsive and great to deal with! I could not believe how fast Jay would respond to my emails. I know they are very busy but they are top notch in my opinion.

Kahr treated me well after I lost a grip screw on my MK9. I now use purple thread locker on mine.

I had to use the purple loctite too. Mine kept coming lose, especially on the wood grips. They are nice and tight now!

I want to mention what works for me, as some have posted about "brand new" guns having issues, broken parts, marks, etc.
I like to order guns rather than taking one off the shelf, and when I go to pick it/them up, witness the cutting of the ziptie to open the case.
Then the gunstore and I examine the gun together, as the 1st to touch it from the factory, with no one else fondling the gun.
If I do decide to buy off the shelf, I spend some time examining everything, removing the slide (with permission), etc.
This has served me well in avoiding problems. jmo
I apologize if my post contains the same or similar information as someone who has posted before me.
