  • Love my MK9

Finally got back to the range today with my mk9. It now has 200 rounds thru it. Not 1 single issue with it. Recoil is better than I expected. And accuracy is good. Trigger is like butter. Now I can add it to my carry gun group. Finally got the Checkered wood grips fitting well. Next Kahr I want is the T9.

I did too, but found one last week in absolute pristine condition. Couldn't tell it from new. Night sights and wood grips (along with stock grips). A joy to shoot. It's not going to replace my PM9, but it will be a great addition.

I've only seen one in person ever. Just don't see them around.

I really can't agree with that statement. I bought both my Kahrs used and wouldn't change a thing. Steel Kahrs do not wear out! Mine are 1998 and 2001 vintage and still look and shoot perfect despite being filthy and poorly cared for when I bought them. And there is something to be said for letting someone else endure the break-in.

Do what you think is best. Buy what's available and a good value to you. But certainly don't pass on a good used deal if you run across one. Good luck!!

I have had 2 of them and they were both used. One was an 03 Elite and the other was a regular MK9. I gave one to my father-in-law as a gift and the other was traded. It was definitely one of the dumbest trades I have ever done. I am now looking for another. My FIL doesn't know how nice the one I gave him is, so I might just trade him.

I think that is a very good price if it is in good shape. There is one in Charlotte, NC on Armslist that has night sight, but he is asking $800 and will take $700. For a non-Elite 03, that is a bit high.

Nice used ones are indeed out there. Got mine for $600. Kahr has the manufacture date as 08/2007.

Since they are so hard to find, and I have never seen one in my LGS's, I would have to buy sight Unseen. And as we all know, when it comes to used guns, people are not always honest about how "perfect" there guns is. So, if I do buy online, it will have to be new. but if i did run across a used, and it was local to me, I would consider it.
                      I bought a used S&W 3913, 915, and Kimber. All were local.

I found mine (MK9) on line for $520. shipped. Had 400 rounds thru it and nite sights.
I put on Kahr wood grips, it's beautiful. I am a happy camper...

I understand the apprehension, but I have had great results buying from forum members, here. It's a pretty safe bet to buy from within the 'club'.
