Frog lube is a good product, but it's a little expensive and other less expensive products work as well. Try it. If you like it, use it. If you don't like it try something else.Never trust anyone who doesn't trust you to own a gun.

As to FrogLube, I like it. I have been using the SEAL1 CLP, a similar (competitor?) type of lube and actually enjoy cleaning my firearms again. My MK9 has about 400 rounds through it with the SEAL1, no significant issues to report. I used it rather heavily the first time out with it on the MK9 and had to wipe the extra off at the range. doing this also took off the carbon from shooting.... The old standards like Hoppes No.9 work and are not that much cheaper than the FrogLube/SEAL1 stuff considering I would be currently freezing my &ss off in the garage due to their aroma, not cleaning inside in the warmth.... My wife actually likes the smell of the SEAL1 and now cleans her own pistols when we sit down together. Anything that keeps her interested is more than worth its price. As a side note, if Kahr would make a .22LR pistol like the Ruger SR22, but all simplified like a Kahr, I would buy a few for trainers (even if they had to be hammer fired...). My wife loves her SR22, and now cleans everything with the SEAL1 and doesn't smell like solvents when she is done, happy wife, happy life....
OP if you are on the fence about these type of CLP's, I am sure you have a drawer with a couple of holsters that you did not like, hit the web up and sell them to finance this little foray into cleaning. Let us know what you end up doing and how it works for you....Comparison is the thief of Joy....

Love the Froglube, on the recommendation of an old friend and competitive shooter, I tried it. Cleaned the first gun of all lube and soot while doing some trigger work. Wet (frog)lubed the whole innards of the action and just blotted off the drippy excess. Then left all the parts on a paper towel and went and watched a football game. When I put the gun back together every part seemed to be slick, but they were dry to the touch. The action was very smooth for that first range trip. it has now been 9 months since I have been inside the action on that J frame and it still is butter smooth and sheds gunpowder soot with little effort. My Kahrs, 1911's,.22's and revolvers wear Frog too.
Frog is now my favorite lube, but Hoppe's smells better...I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
"Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
"more stuff than you are"

I got me some frog lube to try out. I expect many different products work quite well, including frog lube. But this stuff doesn't smell bad to mama, which is important when gun cleaning moves from the shop to the house."Typing the word "grandparents," I mistyped and the autocorrect changed it to CandyLand. Not entirely inaccurate." - Our daughter.
A Kahr, a Glock, a Ruger, two Brownings, two Remingtons, and a Crossman.

I Clean most parts with RemOil which has Teflon built in and self lubricates as well as cleans. A few spots I'll put some MPro-7 or RemOil OIL (not the aerosol cleaner) and call it good.
Froglube and CLP type stuff always End up too greasy for me, when the gun heats up.
