Wow, no new threads since 11/25/14. Anyone pick up a new MK? Anyone used theirs recently? I have not used mine in a while. I guess I need to, and then provide a range report.

Last time I used mine was in Oct............................................... ...had a couple of bad nose under jams................had the magazine loaded with FMJ and JHP rounds.....first time for that, and I am past the break in time. I have read where people were commenting on Fiocchi ammo, not working well in their Kahr's. I know that the Fiocchi ammo I was using, is a tad longer than the defensive ammo I use. Have never had a problem with that ammo. Coincidence? It was at the last of my shooting for the day, and I had also been shooting .45. I could have possibly gimped it, because the .45 was so smooth shooting, and I didn't have to put a death grip on that firearm. I have never had a problem with any Fiocchi ammo in any other firearm. So, I chalked it up to one of those, Hmmmmmmmmmm moments. I'll have to see what happens next time. I do love the MK.........besides a nice carry size revolver, or a very nice .45, I can't think of any more firearms, that I would rather carry.

Bought my MK40 Elite 03 in May. It was really clean from the factory but I went through the cleaning and break in process with only two hiccups. Both were FTE and were my fault for limp wrist. Took a little to get used to the trigger. Have not had a problem since. Take it out back occasionally and run a clip through it and clean it. Carry it every day.
Was using a "fanny" pack and liked it, IWB just would not work for me. OK passed open carry so I ordered a UBG holster to try concealed OWB carry. Just received the holster and tried it out. Exceptional quality. I always wear untucked large t-shirts and polo shirts and the UMB and MK40 disappear. Looks like I will be alternating between the two - UBG and Fanny.
When things are hunky dory, there's no reason to post!

That's a good reason for this subforum to have had no new threads for a while. Thanks to all that have responded.

Looks like the MK's are fairly drama free, I think they are a stupendous value.... Not cheap, but a buy once, cry once good economic choice... I do wish that Kahr would make a MK380...
Comparison is the thief of Joy....

I have my MK9 for a couple of months now....no major issues at all....it is a super CCW weapon.
it does crimp the spent casing ....but have not had a FTF. Using Federals and Blazer Brass 124g.

I have both the mk9 & mk40. I got them nib in 2011 & IMO high quality guns. The 40 is tighter than the 9. For example the 40 has no up & down movement of the slide & a lighter trigger pull than the 9. They both load the 1st round smooth & I can even ride the slide slow & the rounds load smoothly. I shoot the 9 more than the 40. A while ago I was shooting my 329ng & then began to shoot my mk40 & the recoil felt so light after shooting the 44 mag I was shocked. They are great guns but it seems people are into plastic guns so not much is written on the steel kahrs. Too bad.

IMO, it is much easier to hold tolerance and consistently replicate fabrication when working with steel rather than plastic. Hence fewer complaints.

I picked up a MK9 about a month ago. Been to the range twice with nice results and no issues. It's my new favorite as I like the extra heft of an all steel gun. My fifth Kahr.

Not sure how much interest there is in the MK series. I've been trying to sell my MK40 on here and gunbroker with terrible results. I guess the majority prefer the polymer frame. I love the metal frame, I just moved up to the K40, as I'm a big boy and it conceals just as well.
