So.... I was out at the range with my brother today. He had a beat up Davis Industries p-32 worth 100 bucks and I had my p380 black with night sights. Any way, I couldn't even fire a solid 50 rounds without a malfunction while his POS shot great. What should I do? I wonder if kahr will take it back for a pm9 if I payed the difference?

I gotta ask.... in the p380 round count...
Were you able to get off 2 or 3 mags first (while clean and lubed) with no issues ?
The reason I ask and what I am working on with mine is .....
Although I want to run 100 rounds through the p380... I realize that all I would really need is 1 or 2 mags to be reliable when it is clean and lubed....
Thought being is this a range toy... no....
Will it be 100% for the first mag or 2 ... most likely...
Again I am working through this myself, but what I see is that after 20 or so rounds I can tell visually that this bugger gets dirty...
After 100 and even 200 it is filthy...
But in my p380 with only 300 total round count... I will say that EACH time it ran 4 mags with no issues ... then they started .
For me it was premature slide lock.
But I am looking at it this way...
1) YES I want to pump 200 rounds per range session through it.
Mainly because I CAN cause it is so easy on the hands...
But..
2) Is the first mag or 2 completely reliable when clean and lubed?
So far for mine ... YES it has been...
And that IS the main point.....
When you get her all shiny and lubed will it protect you for what is is designed for...??
I am leaning to yes... but still young in this model...
My 2 cents

During break in mine would shoot at least 4 mags perfectly. It would only have one or two problems per trip after those. I usually shoot 50 rounds per trip.Glock 23

IMO the P380 should easily go 100 rounds without cleaning. HellI have owned an lcp and few kel tecks. all would do 100 with ease, the lcp I iknow at one time my son and Ihad well over 200 rounds through it with zero isses. I don't by the dirty ammo sh-t . that is an excuse for a gun not working right. -blame it on the fokking ammo. Hell ammo can't talk back. Lets fae it the kahr P380 is not a true range toyt that one wants toshoot 200 rounds in a session with either, but IMO it should be able to doit as easy as my lcp or 3 kell teks did . Now that being said if u can throughly testout YOUR OWN particular P380 and it goes 50 perfect rounds and then acts up, then u nee dto stop at that point and clean it but tghat being said if your P380 will go 5o rounds with defense ammo without a hic-cup, then for me it is good to go for defense use. Ur not gonna shoot 50 rounds, damn lucky if u carry a spare mag to, so at best 13 rounds total. If it can't do 13 rounds without a hic-cup, time and time again with zero issues,,,,then that gun will not sit in my arsenal. I love my kahrs but I ain't married to them. U either work or ur gone. First wife was a lazy bit-h--she didn't work, she is gone.. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border
