  • Post here if you have a RC4xxxx or higher on your P380

I've been researching the hype on the serial number issues with the p380, and whether it be myth or truth, i'd like to debunk it now. Regardless of if you bought your gun with the RC4xxxx or higher, or it was replaced by Kahr with this new number, please don't post anything regarding problems before it was replaced (before it was a RC4xxxx).

I'm looking for performance only as a RC4xxxx or higher pistol, and how many and what type of malfunctions as that RC4xxxx gun.

I think if this is done right, we will be able to see a clear sign as to if the RC4xxxx are really better, or if it is just a coincidence.

    Lets go!
CM9 purchased 3/2012: 250 rounds PMC, 20 rounds Federal HST, 0 malfunctions so far :33:

It's not hype, most of the frame replacements were RBs and most of the recent problem children (last six months) have been RBs as well.

I have an RC8XX that's good to go. I had plenty of problems during the first 250 hundred rounds, but didn't have any problems during the subsequent 250 hundred rounds.

My old RB had a factory frame replaced with a RC6xxx and it has literally been perfect since then. Dan

My RB was replaced with RC4xxx and has been pretty good after modifying the magazines. I have yet to run hollow points through the RC. I have other firearm wants and my money has been going there for the present moment.

I purchased one on 31-Dec-11, RC17xx. Have shot three boxes of PMC hardball and around 25 hydrashoks with only two failures to lock back on last round. No other issues whatsoever.

RC8xxx purchased from Kahr last September. Fine for a few hundred rounds after break-in, then slide not fully closing ( see my recent post here) about
              20 % of the time.
Kahr is sending me a new spring assembly to see if that fixes the problem.
