  • Cw45 vs glock g36 recoil

Has anyone shot both enough to be able to give a good comparrison. I would like a 45 but my G36 hurt my fingers too much to shoot. Getting a little arthritis in my nuckles. I love my P9 and was just wandering.

I think it's worth checking into. I find both to be quite tame in recoil, but have never shot them back to back. Recoil is pretty subjective and many factors like hand size and grip factor into the mix. If you an borrow a CW45 for a test spin, that would be ideal.

For me the G36 has a weird grip angle that forced me to push my wrist down more to align the sights. This made it hurt more when I shot it and caused the arthritis in my wrists to really flare the next day. By the way that is a general complaint for me with any of the Glock sub-compacts. I much prefer the Kahr.

Not sure about a G36 but what I will tell you is I can hold tighter groups with my CW45 than I can with any of my 9’s. Not sure why maybe it’s because the CW45 fits my large hands better than the PM9 or even my CW9. As far as recoil, with the CW45 I can double tap and have my two hit’s within an inch of each other. CW45 a great pistol.

So true... I think it was over at Glock Talk where there was a post from a fellow saying how he felt less recoil from the 36 he recently bought compared to his P9.
