I did the same thing started out wanted the cm9 but decided I really didn't want to pocket carry and the cw fit my hand perfectly so it was a no brainer. One more round and a slightly longer barrel also helped sway me. Great gun it took me a few range trips to get the trigger down but once I got it I can now shoot it dead on from 15 feet in.Comment

Yeah. Going to the range in next few days. Any ammo reccomendations? Federals sometimes have fails to feed...but are cheap.Comment

Re ammo:
When I got my CW9 for Christmas, I went to a good store that was having an ammo sale and bought one box of everything they had in 9mm. At the range I took careful notes, but that turned out to be unnecessary: it turns out my gun eats whatever I feed it.Comment

200 rounds through on saturday. Only the slide failed to go back forward all the way. twice. It resolved itself. Then fired fine. No failures to feed, no misfires, hangfires or anything.
Once I got more used to trigger was shooting fine at 7yds, 15 yrds, and at least hitting the target at about 25 yards.Comment

200 more rounds through last weekend.
147 Grain , Winchester Hollow Points(100 rounds)
119(I believe) grain, Winchester white box.
No problems except on the user! Still getting used to the gun, finding good place to hold, best ammo etc.
A learning process.
I also have a Ruger Sr22 pistol that is marvelous. So far 1200 rounds only two misfires from Federal Shok.
