I would like to buy one for TIN MAN and have D!ick weed engraved on that back plate, so every time he pulls up the gun, he thinks about ol jocko. Just sayin.

Exactly what I was thinking. You actually shoot someone with a gun adorned with the punisher logo and the prosecuting attorney would have a field day with that.
I've lost my memory, and I can't remember where I put it.

My thinking exactly. That's why I want to engrave puppies, flowers and
my Mom's picture on my EDC.... and use ammo named "gentle lead or pleasant bleedz".

Not a good idea for any gun you intend for your self defense.

HDoc, that is awesome stuff, "gentle lead". It even kinda sounds environmentally friendly! It tells a jury... "if I need to use my gun for self defense, I am going to do it in the most responsible and non mennising way possible". That could be a whole new product market instead of all the zombie craze.

Tinman507, the "Hello Kitty" grips are really funny.
FWIW, a lawyer friend of mine strongly advised me (for concealed carry purposes) to stay away from anything fancy or customized: pistol, holster, or belt; to carry only one spare magazine - none would be better; to stay away from after-market sights and grips; and, if possible, use the same ammo that the local cops use - otherwise, use the most common defensive ammo in the area. He really doesn't like lasers - too many jurors watch too much TV and think that with a laser sight you should be able to wound them rather than kill them. He knows his stuff and loves guns. He's also a VERY good trial lawyer.

very few gun makers make their own sights, so any sight would be considered after market, some of his coments are good no doubt. If I used the defensive ammo our local cops used, it would then be reloads, so I don't quite buy that comment. I would like to know of any case where a person was found guilty for using a laser on his gun with the jurors finding him guilty due to the laser being there. sorry I don't buy that either.

Not that it would not be brought up in a trial if possable but one has to first know why I shot this guy, was he in my home robbing it or harming my family.? Was he in a mall running down the aisle shooting people. I think then no laser, no sights,no bullets,no nuttin is gonna win the case for the BG. Jurors are people to. they have homes and families,,, they know. Just my two cents on this. My daughter is a lawyer also and although she says what he said "could" be used possbly but it would be all about the case involved . Just sayin.

For me anyhow I am not gonna undergun or under prepare myself in fear of what "might" andI say "might" happen down the road in a trial. I wonder if the BG plays by the rules of engagement???? Lawyers seem to always think in terms of "lawsuits". that is their profession. I was a Tire dealer for over 40 years and every time I walked out to a cusotmers car I was looking at their tires. I bet if u go to a dentist he doesnt check ur a$$holes, no money there or no business there for him. Just sayin

Won't argue with a thing you wrote, Jocko! I probably should have written that I'd asked him, "What's the best way to avoid problems stemming from a self-defense shooting?" His response: "Only the dead have no problems in this world - so don't carry a gun - then you won't have any more problems at all." Did I mention that he can be a wise ass? So, I asked him how to minimize problems. My previous post summarizes his response. He carries, too, and has a CT Laserguard on his carry pistol - says his eyes aren't as good as they once were. His final advice to me on this: "Do what you must, just keep it legal, have a good attorney, and tell the police you want him present during questioning." When my CM9 gets back from Kahr, I'm putting a CT Laserguard 437 on it.
