P9 with Hogue Handall Jr. Grip Sleeve

I have a P9 that I am very happy with, it has been very reliable and accurate. My problem is that the Hogue Grip sleeve that I put on it about
4yrs. ago is now slipping around like crazy and won't stay put. Is this normal and is there any type of remedy like maybe a touch of Silicone Adhesive to make it stay in place? I don't want to damage the grip frame and if it is just worn out I would rather do without it. Any suggestions ????

These things happen after awhile in my experience. Rather than damage something by using adhesive, I'd just buy a new one. No need to risk using glue or anything.

Thanks Guy's, that's what I thought. I did some searching on my own and I think I will try the bicycle inner tube trick. I'm a DIY kind of guy and that looked like a good fix otherwise I will go with a 'naked' grip.

I did it !! I tried the inner tube fix and it seems to work very well, should have done this the first time. Used the 1 3/4" tube. It was not easy to stretch onto the grip frame, but once on it doe's not show any signs of movement. Hope it lasts ! Thanks Again

Even if it doesn't last, they are cheap. You could have a lifetime supply from one tube!

I started using talon stick on grips last year, loved them, but after removing, cleaning, reapplying a couple of times...decided that was for the birds. I've switched to qwikgrips on my P9 and TP9 and love them. they are a little grabby w/ clothing, but nothing that really bothers me or that I find cause me to 'print' or give indication that i am carrying a gun.

I believe the size guide shows to get a 3 for the P9, but I took a chance and bought a 2 and a 1 based on grip lengths and pictures I was seeing. The 2 fits the P9 perfectly. The 1 fits the TP9 _almost_ perfectly, little slack on the bottom rear of the grip, but otherwise fine...fine for my range Kahr anyway.

They are tight tight, takes some work to get on. Cannot imagine they will EVER loosen up and if they do, they were the same prices as a set of talons.

The same thing happened on my glock. After 5 years of concealing that big SOB, sweat and body oils get inside the rubber sleeve, and cause slippage. Also, they do loose elasticity after awhile. You can clean your pistol grip, and the inside of your Hogue handall with rubbing alcohal to degrease it. But if it's just stretched out, you'll need a new one. But if you do replace it, be sure to clean your pistol grip anyway, on a regular basis, to keep it tight. Hope this helps.
