it would be about 1/short of where it should be

I did notice is that whan loading these mags the shells and follower like to tilt and the top round seems to mot be at quite the same angle as the ones under it.

*** some empties going out the side, some straight back
Trying to go back a little and re-examine the facts...

Slide not closing all the way... could be:
    dirty chamber
    recoil spring in wrong
recoil spring guide somehow not right
    recoil spring really weak
    ammo oversized for chamber
crap-o-la in the lower locking lug
really bad extractor filth (not likely on Kahr's design)

since it happens only occasionally...suspect ammo/dirt problems first

USUALLY - the case-to-head event occurs when the recoil spring is still very new, and/or the grip is less than solid. My own PM45's did that until I was well past "break in". Maybe 300-400 rounds of shooting.

The angle of the ammo in the mag is something that they do, as does most ammo in most single stack mags (pleated double stack mags take care of it with the pleats)

My advise - clean/inspect fully, including the chamber. Then go shoot it lots with good ammo. Mine (PM45's) feed WWB just fine, but some dont. They also feed Aguilla, and most reloads that are not too short. Remington cheapo stuff works as it should. Blazer ammo works well (and kicks harder!). But, certain guns, combined with certain shooters, will find certain lots of ammo and some bullet weights not to their utmost liking.

You might check these couple of things if you haven't yet and are in to doing it.

I have not had the chance to go to the range again with mine but today I did some other things that would have been handled with more shooting but it did smooth my CW45 out.

      * did the follower mod where it would rub against the mag release so there is no binding at all any more against the mag release. Follower slides up the magazine really good now.

      * Smoothed feed lips on the magazine. They were so sharp that I could not easily remove or load rounds by hand and it marred the casings. It's smooth as silk now.

Since this I can even load rounds now without using the slide release. They feed really well racking the slide

Maybe July 4th I can get to the range. It is only going to be 101 degrees that day. It's been 104 the last 2 days.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Sounds like Kahr is good about that.

              flitz is good,
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I feel for you. S&W has had one of my revolvers for over three weeks now and this is the second trip back for the same issue (first trip was well over 4 weeks).
                  Regards,

Well, they got my gun on the 9th, I got it back yesterday the 27th, so it was a bit under 3 weeks, and the paperwork says they "reworked the barell" I dont knoe what exactly that means but it is fixed, I think. I ran about a dozen clips through it today, zero stoppages of any kind.
                    Sigh of releif
It still bounces brass off my face and eyes sometimes but I think thats the nature of the beast from what I hear, I can live with it if need be, other than that I really like the gun now

That part gets better with time I think. I can't remember how many rounds I have through mine but the brass now flies (and I mean it really flies) far over my right shoulder.:59:
