  • trigger mod on cw9

newbie here. just joint the forum today. i went shooting yestarday with my cw9 and g19. my cw9 was shooting great and i was loving it, until my hand got sweaty and wet. then, my finger started to slip on trigger, from my first knocket all the way to second. that caused my shoot to go way off. my grip on the gun was also slippery. i felt like i had a hard time holding the gun. i don't have the problem with long trigger pull itself, but i don't like the smooth feel to trigger. my G19 trigger has groves it and that provents my finger from moving all over the place. any ideas as how i can change my cw9 trigger? i was thinking of putting dremal tool to it and making the cuts myself. aslo, any ideas on how to make grips less slippery? i have hogue drip on g19, but i'm not sure they make a small version that would fit cw9. i live in FL, which make things even worst. if i can't be accurate w/cw9 due to weather, then i can't carry the gun in the summer time, which the only reason i bought it in the first place.

probab ly a hot day to and it just happens. In a SHTF sweety hands probably is not gonna be an issue. Personally I wouldn't do it but its ur gun. Glock triggers are plastic, this is stainless steel and ur gonna do the mod on the gun and not apart, as trust me, u don't want to take that trigger system apart. Shoot more, u just bought the gun, u will adjust to the trigger. Not sure I have ever read of any kahr owner stating ur issue. Some gun owners buy this skate baord tape and do wonderrs with it on guns, such as grip area. U might buy some of that and experiment with it on the trigger itself, no harm no foul that way and it might give u an idea of whether u indeed weant to fokk up a nice trigger. Just sayin

welcome aboard,u bought a super nice kahr.

For some anything that plugs into electricity shouldn't be near a gun.

I wonder if a guy could mask everything off real good and bead blast a little grittiness to the surface.

I guess a guy could clean the trigger face really good and put a little piece of skateboard tape on it but I doubt it would hold up too good.

probably right, but worth a try. Some of these small ass files might also make the surface ruff, might not be putry but it might be functional for what heis after.

Personally I think the owner is way to critical of what he is wanting to achieve. WOW, I can't believe I just made that statemet. as I have no fokking clue what I just said.

I was going to suggest putting (that doesn't look right!) some electrical shrink wrap on it. Did that to the POS P3AT that I had to smooth the trigger out. Did work pretty good and never came off.

That's a jolly splendid idea. I think that might work just fine and dandy. A person could even slice the front after it's installed and shrunk to add more texture.

Does have the word electrical but doubt it could cause any harm. Course the blow dryer/ heat gun, acetylene torch could be a problem in the wrong hands.

thanks for quick replies. i have had this gun for about 2yrs now, but this is the first time i put 50 + rnd in very hot weather. i'll got to wally world tonight and pick up some skate board tape. its easier then doing a hard mod on trigger. i can always get trigger be-blasted as option B.

most hardware stores carryt hat shrink wrap stuff to in all diameters. I would like to think if u clean that trigger area and maybe with some fine sand paper run it by that trigger a few times and then apply that skate tape, it might just stay for you. that stuff is good stuff if allis clean before applying. I gotta admit I like the shrink wrap idea of the twi deas presented. U proabably would have a hard time bead blasing that trigger where it is at to, I think that would be my last resort. MOre than one way to skin a horse. Just sayin
