Ok tell me about it. Should I get one for pocket carry?

I don't pocket carry, but how can you go wrong with a package that's slimmer and holds more rounds and is more powerful than a 5 or 6-shot snubbie revolver loaded with 125-grain .38 S&W +P. Mine holds 6+1 Buffalo Bore +P 90-grain Gold Dots which give more foot-pounds energy than any other "popular" .380 load. I don't feel under-gunned carrying it instead of my larger Kahrs... 9mm, .40, and .45, which I carry Speer Gold Dots... +P and short barrel, as available.
You can get night nights, too, as mine is equipped... just like it's larger siblings.

IMO it is the only 380 that can be pocket carried. It really is fun to shoot and extremely accurate. You cannot go wrong. I will add that it is the only Kahr that I had some issues with in the beginning, but I would buy it again in a secong.Kahr P380, Custom CM9 x2, & PM45 or S&W M&P9c x2 (my CC guns)Comment

I have a Kahr P380. It needs to be broken in before it can be trusted. It is surprisingly accurate. The P380 does not like cheap or weak loads. You need to test your carry ammo before relying on it.
Your firm grip will figure prominently in your reliability issues. If you have weak hands, racking might be difficult.
Just remember, the P380 likes hotter ammo. I carry loaded with Buffalo Bore +P.
I use a pocket holster and also have a Smart Carry for deep concealment.
I only carry the P380 when nothing bigger will do.Comment

These P380's are one of the nicest 380's on the market. The only other maker that is comparable is the single action Sig 238.
Slim, and compact, with the best sights of the breed, I say go for it. Most of the issues do seem to long over with as far as I can tell. You do need to properly prep them and break them in, also feed them good ammo, they like stronger fodder for sure, watch your grip, run them on the wet side especially during breakin and go have at it son.Comment

I almost forgot to mention, that they have made remarkable strides in the 380 acp ammo for sure in the past few years. Dispite all the paper ballistic's even with the best ammo in a 2" barrel it still can't compare to a 9mm or a snubbie 38 spl...sorry folks. The 38 spl with heavier slugs just is a heavier and slightly larger calliber .357/.358 vs .355 inches. This is the same reason the 45 acp gets its stopping power...the weight and diameter of the slug transmits its energy better. The Buffalo Bore ammo is one of the hottest out there, but you still are getting limited fps out a short barreled pistol. Once apon a time the hard ball 380 acp was a poor performer, now it is much better but the diference between a 90 grain slug and a 125 grainer is a significant increase in bullet mass. With slow moving bullets its the bullet mass and diameter that does the work/ wound channel not the foot pounds of muzzle energy.
If you want a bump for your 38 spl snubbie get the buffalo Bore 38 spl +P ammo then compare the two rounds.Comment

Thanks, Ive been considering the Buffalo fmj-fp's. I'll look at my favorite shop Monday. Meanwhile I'm going with WWB for the range.
