  • .380 ball nosediving?

So, what are typical causes of 380 ball ammo, or other ammo nosediving and hanging up on the feed.ramp?

    What are possible fixes?

    P380 issues

could be a lot of different things... magazine seated properly to limp wristing to weak recoil spring ect... ect.... Are you performing an open slide load or sling shot?
Focus on your front sight..... The rest should be blurry!

I took a pinetree shaped grinding stone and my dremel and eased the angle of the feed ramp into the chamber about 4degrees then polished it back to its former glory and voila no mo stoppages...really simple and boy does it make a difference.. funny Kahr cant get the angle right with all that spensive CNC quipment

Recoil springs just replaced by Kahr.
Not limp wristing as using a stable 2 handed grip.
First round typically feeds. Slide locked back and using slide release to chamber.

Can you get a pic with mag and barrel installed and the slide removed to illustrate this?

Not good with pics but I can give you a process discription...Lock the slide back in the open position, Use a black sharpie marker and fully blacken the ramp area of the barrel. Now insert a fully loaded mag in the pistol load the chamber with a round. Remove mag and round from chamber. Disassemble pistol until barrel is able to be removed. Inspect the slide area..look for the mark that was left by the bullet contacting the slide area that you blackened with the sharpie. I simply removed material on the ramp from the beginning of the bullets contact all the way up to where the chamber entrance begins. I used the marker several times and slowly removed more and more material repeating the whole process of marking grinding and reassembling the pistol and racking a round across the reapplied sharpie marker on the ramp area. I then polished the ramp back to a mirror. And it was alot smoother going in to the chamber. I wasnt satisfied so I repeated the whole process and and now I can ease the slide all the way forward until the bullet rests on the ramp and simply release the slide and the round slides in to the chamber. Really a nice feeling action now...Oh by the way these bullets are hollowpoints

the angle right, just that maybe in ur case it is not right, but 99% have no issues. because one does is not indicative of all kahrs. glad it worked out for you, for certainly once u takes some material off the feed ramp, u cannot ever put it back.

IMO it takes bigt "balls" to do what u did also, for any indication of feed ramp mods, I can assure u, ur warranty is as worthless as t!ts on a boar

Now that it is doing what it should be doing, just shoot it like u stole it. Nice work. Just sayin

Warranties...I remember days of yore when the first, second and maybe third and forth considerations were never what kinda warranty does this popgun got? Mighta went along the lines of: Do I want blued or stainless? Wood grips or ivory? Single or double action? A six shooter or Semi...and you left the warranty card in the box when you shot it up as a target stand out in the boonies...never a second thought given to if your new pistol was gonna do what it was designed to do...for twenty or thirty years...So no I really dont giv a hoot about Kahrs policy of ship it quick and if you wanna workn one send it back, we'll giv it a nother shot or two if ya send it twice. Thats not a warranty its quantity over quality control.
