ok..here is the history...one day shooting, cracked frame, 3 weeks later kahr replaces it..it happens

shoots great-bring it home remove slide, and the flange on the recoil spring guide cracks off..call kahr, 2 days late a new one is in the mail..great

go to range to shoot....4 mags, every shot works..even the extened mag works....then I get a FTE...shoots and case stays in barrel....try another same thing....bring it out of range to inspect....the extractor is cracked off..spring and all.....

kahr is closed due to storm.....I don't know why this gun doesn't like me..all I want to do is shoot lead and CC it:40:

I haven't given up on it yet...but how much more????????????

anyone have this happen? I know Kahr will fix it..but, should I even ask, what more could happen/??

I hope kahr is open late in the week....and they should pay for shipping....

can add to ur issues is that ur 3 issues are so so so rare that I just have not heard of that happening. The fact thatit hapapened to ur P380 wouldnot make me happy but. sh!t happens. At least u can see each and every issue, not like it is FTF or FTE and one can't figure out what is causing it.

Call kahr after this storm and they will send u a new extractor. .

Sorry to hear of ur issues..

I keep telling you to send it to me and I will give it a good home and not abuse it! LOL

Seriously, sorry to hear of your troubles with that particular gun. In all I think you have been extremely level headed throughout the whole ordeal.
On the internet, the number of posts do not correlate to actual knowledge.
The notch is supposed to be there as well as the bulge at the front of the frame!

I've even replaced my extractor at the range. There's a few posts under the Newcomer or Kahr-Tech forums about detail stripping the slide.

Some important tools... a jeweler's screwdriver set... I use the smallest to push the back plate retaining pin in, and the largest to pull the striker spring down, at which point I use the "C" clamp made from a coat hanger to keep the spring compressed to remove the rear plate. I use a straightened out paper clip to push all of the parts out of the extractor tunnel.

Remember to cover the rear plate area as you remove it to preclude the springs from flying out. The striker spring/guide and the extractor spring and rear pin can do this when the extractor is intact.

Take this opportunity to make sure the striker tunnel is clean.

im frustrated with my kahr as well....if money wasnt an issue id have had no problem putting twice the ammo required for breaking in the gun down range...but as it is, i still have a gun that i can not count on....but i havent given up.

kinda like having cancer, . WHY ME???? when ur next door neighbor drinks like a fish, smokes like a chimney and is i perfect health. Ihate it when a owner has an issue with ANY gun, It ain't just kahrs, we all know that, doesn't make it right when it happens to you. But if u truly love the then work with the maker to get it right. If not, peddle the fokker and move on to what please u. If it comes back andit is OK and tests out OK, forget about the past. I personally don't buy the mental process of "can I trust it" now after all I .

have had with it. If its running right , accept it. A perfect gun can fokk up on the verty next trigger pull. U cannot control that part, and worrying about it won'ty make it worse or better either.

social work911 3 issues to my knowledge arejust first for this forum. Never seen a broken recoil flat end, on any kahr, Never heard of any extractor on a P380 breaking. I have seen maybe one or two from theother combined modelsof bigger kahrs. Cracked frame, not sure I have seen that either. I have read where some have beenb replaced and I attribute that to some of the early serial number 380 that indeed just gavbeissues, but never a cracked frame, just something not rght with the original frame, that onlyt kahr could trouble shoot.

Hell my G19 had to go backonce and I trust it 150% I really never think about it even, it has been about 2years ago, so I don'thold anything againbst my G19 either. Great gun, just sumpin was not perfect at that time.....

The decision to keep or peddle it always remains with thge owner, not us telngu one way or the utter either. Ur the one sticking it in ur pocket, not us,.

Well said, jocko. What you said is so true, " A perfect gun can fokk up on the verty next trigger pull." That is why a NY Reload, a BUG is a good idea.
                              Very interesting...
