  • Did some mods and quick range trip

I got my springs from Wolff today, so I did a trigger job.

and changed the recoil spring to the #22 spring and striker to #5

At the range I had 50 CCI Blazer Brass and 16 Remington UMC JHP

For me it ran 100% for my son it it had nose dives (a lot) and the slide didn't stay back after the last round Could that be a limp wristing issue?

Also the trigger feels smoother, slightly lighter and felt recoil seems less and the spent casings aren't flying in my face now

its ur son, u proved the gun is OK, certainly sounds like limping it..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Went to the range yesterday to help the boy sight in the Remington 597 we got him for Christmas (I know, it took long enough) and shot the P9 a little. I helped him reajust his grip and the nose dives went away, but the slide still didn't lock back after the last shot for him.

it locks back for u ok doe sit not??? the 22#spring is a possable reaosn mayb ewhy it isot locking back for ur sone. It would take a better grip ad the spring itself needs some rounds throgh it to get its designed set to. andthenI bet all will be OK.

Jocko is right. More rounds will get that spring set. Also, your son needs to spend more time with it, working on his grip and the locking of his wrist and arm against the recoil.

Personally, I'd shelve the 22 lb spring and go back to the standard one. Kahrs already have super stout springs and are hard to rack. The stiffer spring just makes it more so. JMHO.

Do you think the 22 lb spring makes for lesser felt recoil?
                Very interesting...

agree with Jfootin on the spring,m especially if the son is having no luck yet. If it is gonna be ur gun and he is just palying with it when ur with him then leave it alone. It fits u,stick with it.
