flat nosed WWB .380

I bought some .380 at Wally World; Winchester white box 95 grain flatnosed. I've run about 50 through my P380, with no issues, but got to wondering if those bullets would cause premature wear to the steep feed ramp on the P380. I bought 200, so another 150 is all I'll shoot, before going back to the recommended bullet profile. Any comments

naw no way hose. if they shoot OK and u like um put that thught behind u. This barrel is no cheap pos. They don't come any better IMO. I have always be reluctanttouse the flat nose 380 just because to me it just looks like it will fokk up.

Flincher, IMHO you are fine. I have shot hundreds of the 95 grain flat nose .380acp ammo thru my Ruger LCP, never a problem. Admittedly not my favorite target ammo, but will use it in a pinch. Sometimes, all my LGS had was this very round.

having owned an lcp, I really think they will shoot anything u can load into the magazine. I was never sure with my P380.

Thanks Yogi. I hate to sound naive, but the P380 is my first "little" gun, and since it's runnin like a charm I didn't want to risk damage. I've been stocking up on ammo for all my handguns, and buying where ever I can find it, and Wally World just happened to have these last week.

Big gun....Little gun...it's all relevant in terms of a bullet sliding up the feed ramp. I say shoot what works & not worry. Have fun with the P380.

when all things are right with a semi, the flat nose makes no more contact with that feed ramp than a fmj. If it works goodin ur gun, then and the price is whatur comfortablewith then stick with it, especially for range fodder, what realy makes any difference..

I shot 400 WWB FN's thru my Elsie Pea without any miss feeds or other issues.

I sold 200 FN's to my neighbor last week, and selling another 200 to the guy who bought my PT-709 slim a few years back. No gouging either. $0.30 each, price on box.

I only have a P3-AT left in 380 and I'm not playing with it much, plus I have 380 dies , brass and bullets.

My P380 refuses to feed WWB reliably, even after 800 rounds. The feed ramp is polished mirror bright. It just doesn't like flat nose ammo.

If yours feeds it properly, keep on shootin' it. WWB is usually a bargain compared to the rest. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

I wouldn't worry about the copper wearing the plated feed ramp even with the flat nose bullets. If the gun eats them, feed them to it....

My experience is that if the follower and mag angle are off a bit in relation to the feed ramp, then it could be an issue. . I have had issues with the sig p238 and the kahr p380 with wwb flat nose but only in the break in period.
