I have come back home to Kahr.

I have owned a Kahr CW9 in the past, right after they first came out. I remember it being a great concealed carry gun. Over time I ended up selling it to get a Glock. I love my Glocks, but they are just too thick to conceal, especiLly for me at work.

Last week, a friend asked me to stipple her Kahr CW9 like my Glock. While I had the CW9 in my posession, I remembered why I liked it and had one in the past. I didn't want to give it back to her. So I ended up buying one a couple of days ago. I broke it in, stippled the grip, and gabe it a smooth action job and have been carrying it since. It is so easy to carry I forget its there. I have 3 spare magazines on the way and am looking into a quality IWB holster in kydex soon. The only thing I hate is not getting one sooner. I love it!

The prodigal son has returned!!! Welcome back to the Kahr family! I love my Glocks and my Kahrs. I agree with you that the Glocks are just a little too thick for conceal carry. I think the Kahr is a perfect carry piece. Glad to have you on the forum. I love what you have done with those grips!

I have to say I am impressed with all the different handiwork skills you guys on this forum have. I have never been good at working with my hands and wouldn't even know where or how to start.

Stippling is a very time- consumimg task. It took me 5 hours on both of the Kahrs I did. A full sized Glock will take me 7 hours. Stippling can also give the gun an added flair as well as the improved hold on the gun.

I love my custom PMJ9 with the grip stippling and front dust cover stipplying. To me gives itthe feel I wanted, but to behonest, it will not add a dimes worht of value and more than likely will depreciat the value, but again when I did mine and had some utter sh!t done to it. that thought was of no matter to me. I did it because it is what I wanted and I really have no intentions of selling it. I do things to please me, not anyone else..

The best holster I have found for forget-it-is-there comfort 24/7 with my CM9 is the PJ IWB Holster. There are so, so many members here that will concur. Paul is a great guy and a real gun lover, and he performs magic with kydex - making the holster incredibly comfortable to where you can't tell it is there whether sitting, standing or moving about. It is like the mass of the gun disappears, becoming one with your body. I carry mine with a 15° cant just behind my hip - the sweet spot. I prefer the linked one with the over the belt clip. It is available with j-hook, c-hook and velcro attachment method, and tuckable is an option. I have a tuckable one with velcro for if I need total concealment, but normally wear the above under a loose shirt.

Not to hijack the thread, but how is retention? Does it "click" in the kydex?
I have been an only leather kind of guy but I'm exploring the possibility of a kydex holster for the hot and humid conditions that I live in.

Yes. it clicks. And there is an adjustment screw so it will hold your gun as tightly or loosly as you desire. I like mine to release with an easy click, but the gun still won't fall out if I turn it upside down and shake it. Also, it is easy to reholster the gun because the holster never collapses.

I think I may take a close look at the PJ Holster. I want a Kydex, straight drop, tuckable, with a C-clip. I think this may fit the bill nicely.

My CW9s (wife and I) are totally standard---run 100%, shoot to point of aim, nice and lightweight---so lightweght, you forget it's even there! What's not to like?
