Unless something untoward happens I think the reliability issue has been resolved. The magazine issue is one thing, it is well documented and easily fixed. The issue of the FTF's and FTE's was resolved, in my opinion, in the "reworking barrel" statement they sent back with their report.

yqtszhj stated "Honestly Kahr will make it right". He (assumption) called it correctly.

As much as I was critical of the product and the service I give them credit and their due for making it right. i will also circle back with their Director of Customer Service and thank him for his attention to this matter.

If there are any P9 owners out there who have had similar problems I trust this thread has been helpful and will enable you to come to the same resolution.
Glad it appears to be running better for you.

Given the number of rounds that you state you shoot they may have an interest in how it runs for you longer term. If you have other problems the Director of customer service and quality control may like to know for the benefit of all and who knows, you may even get something out of it from Kahr for your efforts. I would bet that if there was a regular failing part they would want to know.

Other than Jocko's 30,000 round PM9 I would say that most of the rest of us probably don't reach that round count very quickly.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Most of my shooting is with 1911's, but I make it a practice to shoot my "primary" SD weapons, which again includes the Kahr, once a month. The size and lightness of the P9 is ideal for CCW thus I am glad to have it back in the fold.

I will put around 50 to 100 rounds a month through the Kahr. I will never get a real high round count on it. I am cautiously optimistic that it will be trouble free since what they did to it last time seems to have worked out the issues.

As a side note, for those of you who shoot frequently and shoot indoors make sure you get your BLL (blood lead level) checked. I was shooting inside and ended up with elevated BLL (53). Fortunately, there is a great outdoor range, one of the largest in the U.S., about 15 miles away, so i only shoot outside now. The BLL is down to 23 and declining.

I feel your pain – sort of. But I also feel confident that you will get over it learn to love and trust your P9. I purchased a P9 used last year in what appeared to be mint condition intended for concealed carry, but it proved to have a serious FTE issue. I called Kahr and they said to send it back to the factory. Not only did they correct the problem, they also polished the breech and replaced the old polymer magazine catch for free. How's that for service? It took two trips to the range to convince me that I could trust the weapon to function flawlessly. I would have preferred for the gun to function flawlessly as purchased, but Kahr made it right at no cost to me except for the wait (well, I did have them install night sights while it was at the factory). Kudos to Kahr for excellent customer service!

Another satisfied Kahr owner. Nothing more need be said.

Just a follow up. I have now put over 500 rounds through the P9. Not one FTF, FTE, or any problem whatsoever. To the degree it was unreliable before it is uber reliable now. I have full faith and confidence in the P9 and it is now my CCW - again.

I have always contended that the P9 was, for me, struck the ultimate balance between size and power.

Everyone on this forum and at the gun club I go to, said that at the end of the day Kahr would resolve the problem.

I have gone from a very disgruntled Kahr customer to a very satisfied one and would not hesitate to recommend their products.

A letter to that effect has been sent to Kahr customer service.

the letter goes a long way . They need to hear when they do good.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Went to the range this evening. Put 100 rounds through it. Flawless. I am very pleased to have it back in the fold. It is also a very accurate gun. I was able to get 2 inch groups at 10 yards - consistently. What a difference.

Thought I'd circle back on my P9 experience(s). I have put another 500 rounds through it. I now use it for my primary CCW due to it's size, weight and and how easy it is to conceal. I also like the ergos as well as the way it looks - clean and sleek.

The takeaway here for any Kahr owners who have problems is that ultimately Kahr will make things right for you. Just be persistent and in the end things should work out for you.
