    Finally got my CW45!!!

    Hello All,

    I finally got my CW45 from my son in Montana. Let’s say it was delivered by ex-sister-in-law Express!

    WOW is my first and continuing reaction. This thing is wicked. Never had a .45 before, only a Taurus PT99 9mm years ago. I have not shot it yet (DAMN WORK) but will very soon. I have a set of Talon grips on order. I got the Rubber ones. I do not have huge hands (no laughing) so it feels awesome. It’s amazing they could put so much firepower into such a small package. My son ran a few rounds through it so it was a great excuse to tear it down and fondle.. I mean clean it!

    Any suggestion for a holster? Not IWB but as concealable as possible.

    Thanks to everyone on this board I am learning so much!

      Finally got my CW45!!!

      It's a sweet gun and gets sweeter as you break it in. I sure like mine. Tons of holster choices out there (too many really). I always carry mine IWB so can't give a recommendation. Lots of holster threads on here...enjoy!

        You're really going to like that CW45. They shoot well. Clean it up and lube it up well first like you said, shoot FMJ for a couple of hundred rounds to get used to it, and you should really like it. I love mine.
        The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

        Want to see what will be the end of our country as we know it???

            Welcome to the forums.

            Since my xds was recalled back to the motherland, my cw45 is taking it's place again.

            I tend to carry my cw45 in iwb mode, so hopefully others can recommend what works for them. To help them help you, how are you wanting to carry, something like OWB, appendix, small of back or ???

            Am sure you will enjoy the cw45 when you can get it out on the range. Mine sure does well.

                    Which 1911 mag is that, specifically? Does it lock the slide back when empty? Any issues with function at all? Thanks

                      I'm using ACT officer 7 round mags with my CW45, they work and lock the slide back on the last round fired.

                          You don't have to alter the 7 round ACT mag.
                          The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

                              I don't. Sorry, mine came with my officers 1911.
