  • More shiny parts!!

Who said men don't like sparkly things too! Did a little shine job on my cw9 internals. I have basically done every mod to this gun other than compensated barrel and custom stippling.

Action does feel better, happy with the results. I'm considering getting a black p9 trigger and slide stop to finish off the look. My wife questions how much money I put into it, they will never understand.

    Whatcha all thank?

Excellent. I did the same thing to mine.

Did you polish the breech face? I used 1500 grit sand paper and I can slow ride the slide on my CW45 and it feeds every time. Can you tell the trigger pull is smoother after polishing the striker? I could tell a bit on mine.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

No, I haven't done the breach face. I'll have to do it, not sure how it would help though. Unless it aids in ammo sliding into place.

I can tell the trigger feels smoother and possibly lighter...

          .
I think that was it. between polishing the breech face and around the extractor It made the rounds slide into place really well.

What compound did you use for the polishing?

Polishing the breech face helps to reduce FTRB and allows the rounds to feed more smoothly with less friction to overcome. That combined with a good polish of the feed ramp also helps.

Blue Magic polishing cream. Works we'll. did barrel and feed ramp with bench grinder with wheel on it. My feed ramp is like glass. Im going to do my breachface next.

I'm just curious if I should take the grip apart and polish the trigger bar and such..

Unless you have done it before and know what you are doing, I would say no. There are several parts and springs that can be "fun" to work with.

By the way, this is post #31 - I now have my flags avatar!

How would I know what I'm doing unless I do it? Shouldn't be to hard, I understand there are little pieces but i work slow. Also very observant when I tool with things. If it doesn't help though then I won't mess with it. I'm looking for performance.

There's a post somewhere that has instructions for disassembling the frame.

Personal opinion here. I polished my trigger bar cause I was having trigger reset problems and didn't notice much other than my problems were fixed. Now polishing the breech face and other parts like you did mad a difference in feeding and trigger feel. JMHO...
