Okay, evidently the 1911 Officer's Model magazine fits the CW45. Have any of you used this and if so, how well does it work? Also, will full size 1911 mags fit as well?

Greg is in the know on this subject. For my 1/2 cents worth. My PM45 will use a full size Wilson mag and run fine and lock open with no mods.
The same Wilson mag in the officer size balks from time to time or doesn't work at all. Makes zero sense. Same follower, the tube looks identical, only thing possibly different is spring pressure.
Have to do a search but I seem to recall the ACT mags working, some others require a bit of tweeking, not to be confused with twerking which I have no idea what that is but everyone who is anyone is doing it.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

I just asked about this and I heard the act officer magazines work great, i just ordered two yesterday, now I'm waiting on them..... They say they don't need tweaking..... Or twerking.. Though the twerking may help you pistol run smooth

Others say MECGAR's P/N: MGCO4506 works equally well (http://kahrtalk.com/showpost.php?p=40290&postcount=63 and http://kahrtalk.com/showpost.php?p=40457&postcount=67)Originally posted by Bawanna View PostGreg is in the know on this subject. The ACT-MAG and MECGAR have similar followers. I have not tried the ACT-MAG, but did try a MECGAR. It fed fine, but would not lock the slide back with any consistency (this may be peculiar to my particular CW45).
Still, based on what folks have reported here, I think that ACT-MAGs are well worth a try. If they work without issue or modification you're well ahead of the cost for anything else.
Most other 1911 magazines will lock into the CW/P45. There is one instance that I know of where an Officer's would not lock into a P45 without modification: http://kahrtalk.com/showpost.php?p=58903&postcount=94
Speaking of modifications:
There is a chance that the top front of the some 1911 magazines might come into contact with the pistol's extractor:

Here's what I did to remedy this: http://www.kahrtalk.com/showpost.php...51&postcount=9
About followers:
Plastic and rounded metal 1911 followers will generally feed without issue, but in my experience (again, none with the ACT-MAG and speaking only of my particular CW45) they will not lock the slide back with any consistency. This may not be a concern to many. I have tried 7 round Officer's magazines with plastic followers, that feed perfectly and, while they do not lock the slide back, might be a good choice for folks that do not carry a spare magazine:

"Devel" style followers may cause issue when extracting the last fired case. Here's how one member worked around that: http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=7813
As for myself, I wanted a flush fitting magazine that would lock the slide back every time so I use modified Officer magazine tubes with Kahr internals (http://www.kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=3317). This combination has worked without fail (to include shot shells) for me the past three years
