My Kahr CW9 Break-In Saga: Part 2 - The End!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwyDc9SKoZE

    Bottom line:
Positive- No more problems with trigger reset.
Negative- Constant magazine insertion slide drop malfunctions.
Final result: Only 30 more rounds fired. Under feed ramp nosedive jam
puts gun out of action, Vise and tools required to clear.
Final verdict: Loss of confidence in gun. Gun will be sold.

I'd like to thank everyone on this forum who tried to help me with this pistol!

what was that ol series called back many years ago.

Upon further reflection I've decided to take the advice of you fine folks here and give Kahr another chance to make this pistol right. I'll contact Jay again and send him pictures of the jam along with the the gun and all my magazines. I still won't carry it but I do want it right before selling it to someone else. I'll report back on what happens. And yes, if it works fine when I get it back I will post a YT video showing that. If it still malfunctions I'll post that too. I'm nothing if not fair.

I read your decision on the 1911 forum but I see you have reconsidered. Why not. Maybe they can fix it.

Well, the CW9 along with all 4 of my magazines are on the way to Kahr again. I'll report back on it when I have something to report.

Hang in there shadow. Kahr will make it right or they will replace it. When you bought the gun it came with a five year warranty. If you have anymore problems there are plenty of people on this message board that can and will help you through them.

I watched your videos. I can tell you from personal experience the CW9 is a fine gun and worth persevering for...

You are a better man than me. I would still buy/try another Kahr at some point. I never consider a problem w/ a particular gun to be indicative of the entire product line, even in the same model. But I'd have to call it done on that one. If they fix it, and cover the shipping, cool.

After watching the entire 10 minute video, I am lost for words.

Sadly, inexperience shooters will read this thread or watch the video and believe the gun is defective.

And that would be because the gun IS defective.

Funny, a ten minute video, and only shows him shooting the firearm with no problems................why wouldn't you video the problems also, as long as you're there? Just seems a bit strange to me.....................

02:23 reported on first slide drop malfunction which occurred on second mag.
03:15 reported on second slide drop malfunction occurring on third mag.
Had further slide drop malfunctions but didn't think you'd want to have to sit through that much repetition.
03:49 reported on nosedive jam which ended the shoot.

You must have watched the wrong video!

Not trying to be argumentative or accusatory, but one question...any chance you had some other folks shoot it?
