  • How much does your Kahr weigh?

So, I weighed my pistol today, and Im curios to know if others are the same weight.

My P9 loaded with 7+1 of 147gr Federal HST`s weighs in at 22.5 oz
unloaded with an empty mag it tips the scale at, 18.5 oz
empty 7 round mag weighs 1.8oz
empty 8 round extended mag weighs 2.1oz

    The P9 is listed as 15oz with a 1.9 oz magazine. = 16.9oz.
Hmm, mine is about 1.5oz heavier than the advertised weight.
Id like to know what others P9`s weigh in at. Wonder if Kahr has some bad numbers on the website

Dont get me wrong, Its still very light, just curios to see what numbers others come up with.

So regardless of what Kahr models you have, Id like to see some actual weights for comparison.

My PM9 after slide melt and loaded with 124 grain 7 rounds weights 18 ounces loaded..

I do think kahrs publishs their weights alittlle on the "light" side
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

        CW9 Weight

Thanks for the photo of the CW9 on the scale. I guessed my CW9 came in at 20.5 loaded with 7+1. A spare 7 round loaded is 5 ounces. It works for me.

Is the CW9 in the photo weighed with 7+1?

Anyway it is lighter than my XD9sc empty at 24 ounces and nearly 32 ounces with 10+1.

Not the most accurate method but mine weighed 21 oz. on my trigger weight scale. That's pistol and 7 in the mag.

It's hard to believe that the CW9 is lighter than the P9. Thanks for the info.

Especially since the CW9 is listed as being heavier than the P9 on their website.

Eta. Judging by the extractor I would guess its +1

I never bothered to weigh my P45, and do it with my ammo. It is an interesting thought though. May be a bit difficult for me to do, as the only scale I have is at work, and last time I checked colleges+firearms=bad news (for those caught) I thought about moving to Utah, but I like it here.

That weight is 6+1, 7+1 brings it to an even 20.0. It's loaded with Doubletap 115 gr JHP.

The caveat is I really have no way to check the accuracy on that balance, it may very well be off.

Either you have one of the lightest PM9`s, or one of our scales are way out of wack.

Jocko says his PM9 with 124gr 6+1 comes in at 18oz.

Weighing two of my 7 round mags, 1 with 147gr HST & 1 with 124gr Gold Dot HP is 10oz. for the two of them. 7 rounds of the 124gr gdhp`s weigh 3oz. on their own.

If you get a chance could you weigh it empty?

                            I'm old, I was confused, I can't count, I take the 5th.

These may help, or maybe aliens infest my balance?

I have had some good slide melts, slide and barrel magna ported. slide stop contoured and reduced to about 2/3'rds size. grip stipplying and mag well cut out. all of this contributed to my 18 ounce results.. It was plenty light before I did anything to it. I never really started out with those mods with the thought of gaining alot of extra less weight. That just had to come from the results of all the stuff i did "combined".
