CW9 vs CM9

been carryin my PMJ9 in my front jeans pocket now for over 5 years. Sure it is not a fast draw scenario but who cares. It is one my 24/7. I don't hav eto dress to carry, I ride a Harley alot and it never bothers me in that area either. Sure never gonna do what a 380 size can do but a 380 bullet is not gonna due what a 9mm can do either.

What ever fl;otas ones boat is the way to row IMO. Just sayin

Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts, I'm leaning toward the CM9. Now I have to decide if I need the CW380 as well. Course I'd have to find one to be able to but one. Thanks again all.

CW9 vs CM9

Pocket carried my CM9 today for the first time. Desantis Fly without the flap, relaxed fit jeans. Worked great. Looks like a big wallet or phone in the pocket.

CW9 vs CM9

I own 2 Kahrs. A CW380 and a CW9




The CW380 in a Sticky holster vanishes in the front pocket of my jeans. It is my go everywhere, anytime carry piece. Surprisingly I shoot it more accurately than my CW9 and 80% of my other handguns lol

I'm waiting for a couple kydex holsters for the CW9 but for ease and no mess carry the CW380 slips in my front pocket every day

Keep the 380 for when smaller is needed and buy larger this time.


The cm9 is a great short range pocket pistol . Its not a range gun . Pratice yes just don't expect to be a range gun. Buy a CW9 or a CT or TP for range and carry. The cw9 is still small enough to tuck a shirt in around it and carry in all but the tightest clothing when IWB the larger CT and TP cover well with looser clothing and make for a far better range gun that the smaller kahrs.

And the tp40 in a holster made for a CW or P9 and I now carry the tp40 the most in a 2:00 position.

I mostly pocket carry (5'10", 165 lbs.). I mostly pocket my PM9. There are however a few pants that I have where pocketing my .380 makes the most sense due to unacceptable PM9 printing or restricted draw due to particularly small pocket.

IMHO... think you can find a whole bunch of better range guns than the CW9 but few guns better than the CM9 for CC - pocket or otherwise.

I am about the same height but 175#. Italians have heavy balls. I can carry IMO with ease my PMJ9 in jeans and have done so for over 6 years. Certainly not a fast draw area but it s there 24/7 and as u know Bill, a gun should be on ur person 24/7 if possable..

I'm 5'11" and about 190 fat ars pounds depending on how much beer flavored ice cream I had that particular day and whether I'm wearing cowboy boots or a pair of tenny shoes (for you yankees out there tenny shoes is a southern term)...I have always been a pocket carrier and can't deal with any of the IWB holsters I have wasted my money on....I wear my shirt tail tucked in because I was taught to wear them that way and it's more comfortable so pocket carry is my only choice.....

The thing I don't understand is why so many guys worry about whether their gun is printing or not....If my PM40 is in my pocket and it's concealed from view then thats good enough for me and if it prints, well too bad, they shouldn't have been looking at my crotch anyway...

I have never been asked what's in my pocket by anyone so either they don't know or don't care which if fine by me cause I sure as he!! don't care if the gun prints or not....If a Police Officer were to ask me then I would tell him yes and show him my permit but other than that IMO it's nobodys business what's in my jeans.....

My Glock 17 is my "range gun", but I'm always surprised at how well I can shoot my CW9. I don't pocket carry and I'm not a big fan of guns with flailing pinky grips, but for me the CW9 carries just fine OWB or IWB.
