  • Striker Fired .380s

Never really thought about it until yesterday when I picked up (not purchased, just fondled) a Kahr p380. It was then that I realized the P380 is striker fired it appeared. Just a mini version of the larger Kahr P series guns.

It then donned on me that it was the only striker fired pocket sized .380 that I know of. P3AT, LCP, Taurus TCP all hammer fired. Micro Eagle I think is hammer fired.

Other than the Kahr, the only other striker fired .380 I have found is one called a Diamondback DB.380.

Are there others? And does the striker fire pose challenges that others could not overcome in a pocket .380 that Kahr just managed to or what?

I think ur right. not sure any one else makes a striker fired. The P380 is a part for part scaled down version of the PM9. It is one dandy litltle 380. The most accurate 380 I have ever owned . top quality, not cheap in price but very well made. Kahr should know how to make a striker fired gun, as that is all they have ever made..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I liked it..... a lot. Make a nice BUG. Not sure it is enough smaller than the PM9 though to go with the .380 rather than the 9mm though.

I fondled it next to the wifes Taurus TCP, as well as the LCP/p3at and the kahr felt MUCH better in my hand too. I tried to keep an open mind, and not just be biased because I really like the Kahrs though

Loving my p40 still, but would not mind a BUG as well

Though not in production, there is the exquisite HK P7 K3. It came in .22lr, .32acp as well as the .380acp. A work of art.

Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Although I am sure it fits in some peoples pockets, I hesitate to call that a pocket gun though
