I can't speak of all Kahr barrels (or even the whole barrel in one instance), but I've had two Kahr barrels that I suspect are non-stainless.
One was a PM40 barrel that cold blue (Oxpho-Blue) would darken where the nickle plating had come off the barrel hood. I suppose it could have been a two piece affair with a stainless tube and non-stainless breech (didn't check), but my CW9 barrel will darken when exposed to Oxpho-Blue on the tube and the breech.

Stainless steel is a combination of several metal/minerals. Some stainless steels can be blued, it depends on the actual make up of the particular stainless.

I am not an expert, so Google it.

      Just my 2 bits worth.

That's true (I've seen a S&W model 65 that was blued with Oxynate 84), but in my limited experience, I've yet to find a known "stainless steel" that Oxpho-Blue will darken significantly (which it did on the two barrels I mentioned). That surely doesn't preclude there being "stainless steels" out there that Oxpho-Blue will "blue", but they are currently beyond the scope of my knowledge.

I have been shooting only home loads and mostly lead through the stock barrel of my PM40

It does get a bit greasy but costs about 6 cents per round for bullet, primer, once shot brass and powder.

They punch nice clean holes with a big meplate.

As far as using nickel plated stainless, Jock that seems weird.
