  • Hello CW380, good bye LCP!

I purchased a CW380 yesterday from a fella that had only put 30 flawless rounds through it. My wife and I have since put 157 flawless rounds through it, including some Speer Gold Dot JHP. A few more rounds and she will be good to go.

I can't believe what a pleasure the Kahr is to shoot compared to the LCP. The LCP was cleaned up and placed in it's original box with a spare mag., Galco horsehide holster and a Houge grip, ready for selling.

. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

All true, but I still wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of Elsie inside of 15 feet.

Never have had a problem with my LCP in the 6 years I've toted it, but it sure ain't much fun to shoot the lil' thang.

Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a rock from 15 feet either.

My little Elsie ain't going anywhere. She's been 100% in the 5 or 6 years I've had her. It's my summertime shorts pocket companion. I'm sure the CW380 is a fine weapon, but I'm sticking with Elsie for now.

I had an elsie pee for a couple of days. Bought it for my Doctor, that wanted a gun but didn't want his wife to know about it. I found a good deal on one on Armslist, and picked it up for him. He said he give me free digital prostate exams for life.

Although I wanted the CW380, it wasn't available and I ended up with an LCP. It's been a great gun but the grass is always greener.... I'd prefer to have another Kahr. Maybe if I stumble on a deal but I've grown attached to the little gal. Over 500 rounds with no issues. The only thing I don't care for is that it doesn't slide-lock open after the last round (by design). And SOMEONE help me because I'm also considering the Glock .380...

                      Dang it!

I hate reading these mousegun threads - now I got the Kahr itch again. The local GT has a pretty good price on them:

Good luck with your new 380.

We have had two LCP's since they first came out. They were problematic at first. Ruger stood behind them. They (mostly mine) has been shot a lot. The once rough bore is now very smooth but the rifling is becoming thin. Mine has had had some corrosion issues mostly on the slide. Happens when it is carried in a pocket holster outdoors doing strenuous activities.

Did you have any unresolved LCP issues? Is there big difference between the LC and the K380?

As for the 380 providing enough protection for social activities I have not been impressed with the caliber.

Jocko, I had a Kel-Tec P3AT once upon a time also. It went bye bye when I found the Ruger.

No, I never had any issues with the LCP, other than the horrid trigger. To me, the Kahr feels better in the hand. Once you shoot the little Kahr you will see what I'm talking about, as far as the trigger goes. Absolutely no comparison plus it has real sights if that matters with a bad breath distance gun.
