  • Pre owned P9 Black Finish...good price?

    They want 450 for it which seems a tad high. Has a bit of wear but not terrible. Trigger pull is vey smooth and breaks crisply

    Serial starts with EA so not sure on age. Looks like someone turned in a whole Kahr collection.

    Still close to 150 dollars more than a brand new CW9 so a bit hesitant. Besides aesthetics I'm not sure where all that extra cost factors in

    Anyways decent deal price too night?

    If it is in sound condition I would say it ain't a bad price, considering I just paid that for one + gave the guy $50 gas money to drive 3 hours one way to bring it down to me. For why I say "sound condition" see this thread ;

      Is peening where the barrel block looks like the finish is discolored? This block looks shiny and discolored in some spots but most of my Kahr barrels show that.

      Thought it was normal?

      Does the EA tell anything about its age?

        I've always been a sort of "bird in the hand" kind of guy myself. You may wait a while to save $50 ... But who's to say how long it might take and whether it will be as good or better. I guess it just depends how bad you want one.

          You sound like my wife. She always tells me that but seems like she's always the one with a hand full of birds??? (Smiley goes here)
          The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

            I think the "E" serial numbers are pretty new for 9mms, (my TP is a 2011). The black finish was an extra option and if you intend to carry the gun, may be worth something to you. IMHO, the finish, mag and polygonal barrel are in fact features I value over the CW line. The price, $450, certainly isn't out of line for a P9. It's less than I happily paid for mine several years ago, (though I did get extra mags).
            Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.
