  • Price Check: Used CW45

A used CW45, 1 magazine, ~500 rnds through it, box/paperwork, has presented itself for $275.

I used to want one but picked up an M&P45 for that poly 45 itch. Is this price good enough to pick it up, is it a good enough price that I might regret not picking it up?

I've seen them new for that price... with a warranty! I also see them for $100 over retail at gun shows... but, I don't think anyone pays those prices.

So about that warranty, it technically doesn't transfer, but how strict is Kahr with that little bit?

Best prices I'm seeing online for new is $340 after all is said and done (with the $30 charge locally from my ffl for all the stuff he does) but that comes with a rebate on a second mag as well.

That'd be good price on the unit in the DFW area of Texas. Now, do you need it? That's up to you and your wallet...

Let us know, how it goes and give a range report.
I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
        "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
        "more stuff than you are"

I picked up my LNIB, CW45 w/night sights and two mags. for $280, plus shipping and transfer. $320 total, if I recall, but it does have a spare mag and night sights.

1 - I think it sounds like a good price --- a deal I would consider if I was looking for one
2 - I don't think you will regret passing because you can find new ones online for close to that and you do get the warranty --- should you later decide you really want one

I don't know how strict but you are at their mercy...

If it has 500 rounds through it, the mag looks good, and they will let you run a box through it before buying it and all works well, i wouldn't have a problem with the price. If it works well, looks good and front rails look good, you're getting a gun that has just been broke in good
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Looked good to me, was able to throw in some ammo on my end to bring the price down, so I got it.

I may have been spoiled with smaller caliber guns, because in comparison to those, this CW45 still feels thick. Even in comparison to my M&P45, I don't notice a width difference to justify a 4 round difference in the mags.

I can't see myself carrying this CW45 so maybe a few fun range trips before I get sick of loading up 6-round mags are all the future we'll have together. I will say, however, that it racks so incredibly easily compared to my difficult PM9 slide, and the CW45 overall feels like a solidly made piece.

Yes, good luck! There have been a lot of posts on or about the CW45 and preparing or fixing possible problems. Be sure to look those up and check yours out... along with the lubrication/preparation guides. Here's a very good one:

My has 2K+ rounds thru it now. After a few, normally expected bobbles in the first 200 rounds, it has been 100%.
