P9 slide fit on CW9? CW9 Bubba slide melt w/ PICS and new member intro!

I tried my P9 slide on my CW9 frame with the barrel and guide rod from the CW9. Everything fit great. Felt and operated the same with both slides. Couldn't see any external differences in the barrels either.

I didn't fire it, but I have no doubt it would work.

So, I guess the answer is yes, a P9 slide will fit on a CW9.

Incredible! I cannot thank you enough for your effort. I've literally been searching the internet for months to find this information. Many thanks.

Now, just need to find a way to convince wifey that I need another slide for a gun that already has one... because she WILL notice. Yes, she carries too.

I'll update this thread once I make the purchase. It won't be right away, but soon.

Update: P9 Black slide ordered direct from Kahr. Stay tuned. I'll post pictures as soon as it arrives.

Anyone interested in the melted CW9 slide? PM me and I can take some detailed pictures with the DLSR.

*Edit* Forgot to mention that the Black slide was the same price as the P9 regular stainless and the CW9 slide. No brainer.

That ding would be not acceptable to me. I prefer to put them on a new item myself.

None of your before pictures shows the area in which the ding occurred. Are you sure that the ding wasn't there before you sent it in?

This P9 Black slide was ordered brand new from the factory - no before / after photos possible. I opened the package and inspected for defects. This is what I found. :/

                    Keep the slide . . .

Admittedly, that slide was "dinged" even before the final black coating was applied, but it is small enough to ignore,

Better yet, the roll stamp lettering on that slide looks much nicer than the roll stamp lettering on either of my PM40's.

I would keep that slide rather than take a chance on getting another with uneven and lightly struck roll stamping, like mine.

                    YMMV. Best of luck, sir!
It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.

Kahr emailed me within 2 hours of my message and is sending another slide with a return shipping label.

Just wondering how your CW9/P9 hybrid is working out.

It's great! Couldn't have done it without ya! Took it to the range and ran about 150 rounds through it without flaw *for me.

*Except for the FTF that wifey was able to manage. However, she was able to cause a G17 to FTF the same day -- limp wristing. So, I won't hold it against the Kahr.
