Shooting My CW45 At The Range

I always enjoy pics and videos of others shooting at the range.

Here, for no reason at all, is a very brief video of me at the range shooting my CW45, which is my main carry piece:

In this one I'm shooting double taps with regular 230gr. ball

Feel free to critique my technique. I'm always open to suggestions!

Here's another one. In this video I'm shooting the CW45 again, but using Gold Dot +P JHP, which is my primary carry ammo. You can see the difference in recoil. The +P's are really snappy!

I'd like to see what kind of accuracy those double taps were getting, but it's nice to know a good speed is possible on them.

Maybe, because of the recoil, you'd be better served with non +P SD ammo? I believe I'd trade off the +P for the ability do the double taps like you were doing with the ball ammo.

Yes, what Bill K said. With that said, my CW45 is currently stoked with 230gr +P HSTs. I'm planning on ordering some non+P when SG Ammo gets some more in stock.

Thanks for the input. During my regular weekly range trip tomorrow morning I plan to practice some point shooting. Will start with the CW380 using Critical Defense JHP (my regular carry ammo for this gun) and progress to the CW45 using Critical Defense JHP non-+P instead of the Gold Dot +P's I usually use for carry ammo in this gun. You guys are correct that non-+P ammo is much easier to control than +P. The .45 does make a big hole no matter the ammo...

My third carry gun is a M&P 9C. I use Remington Golden Saber 124gr. +P as my carry ammo. It's interesting to note that there isn't nearly as much difference in the recoil (or "snappiness", if you will) between +P and regular ammo in this gun as there is in the CW45.
