Has Anyone Found Solution to Ejected Rounds hitting Face?

In firing the CW380 the other day, about one case in every mag would hit my face or head. Has anyone come up with a fix for this in the 380's?

My CW9, on the other hand, tosses them high and wide, dumping them
pretty close together. Makes for easy pick up!

If this is an ongoing problem with all ammo fired from your gun. The "Fix" is to get a new ejector and install it. You may need to contact Kahr to see if they want you to return the gun so they can put it in or send you the part so you can install it. (advanced users only)

2nd solution is to use different ammo which will eject at a little different angle from your gun. Usually more powerful ammo will eject farther away from the shooter.

After the first time my forehead was covered with black marks from my new PM45... AND I went shopping at Walmart before looking in a mirror ... I started wearing my Kahr cap and keeping the bill as low as possible when shooting... along with the usual 2mm Lexan eye-protection. The "problem" with the PM45 went away after a few trips back to the mothership for unrelated(?) problems. I still get one once in awhile from any of my 5 remaining Kahrs... all polymers, but it's not "noteworthy" and I can't say one does it more than the others.

I generally get it from adjacent lanes at the range. Thinking about bringing a hard hat.

Don't have that problem with my lcp or my pm9. Pretty frequent with my glock 19 though. Both my wife and dtr learned the hard way not to wear low cut shirts while shooting it !! I guess wearing the hat is a good idea!

My PM9 ejects fine as well. My G19 did not and is now someone else's.

My "bought new" PM45 throws 'em back on occasion, but I noticed that as the recoil spring got settled in, slide velocity must have increased, and the the empties toss a lot higher, and to the right. The PM45 I bought used tosses 'em in the same direction, just a little further. The PM9 I had stolen, has never hit me in the head, butit was well broken in. I'm hoping the new one that replaces it does as nicely.

There was one guy who got a PM45 and bitched about it hitting him in the head with brass. He finally sold it. I would have gladly bought it, because I'm certain that a bit of shooting with stout ammo would have loosened things up and got that brass flying nicely past the shooter, not into him.

I find that an occasional case to the forehead keeps me alert on those long boring days of taking out the x-ring at the range.

I lend my son a cap when we go to the range now... or any other guest shooter... eye, ear, and face protection!

I have a CW380 that has erratic ejection, I worked on and solved a FTF issue and now intend to focus on trying to get the ejection a little more consistent. I bought a Glock 34 that suffered from the nasty erratic ejection that plagued Glocks, I found that their slide coating was so slippery that it did not allow a good grip on the spent casing. After lots of trouble shooting and experimenting I found that if I roughed up the tiny section of the slide opposite of the extractor it allowed a better grip and held on to the spent brass until it contacted the ejector. Before the modification the brass would pop out in various places during the slide cycle causing the crazy ejections. Everyone else was replacing ejectors and extractors but until you get it to hold on to the round all the parts swapping in the world won't help. I later bought a Glock 19 that had the same issues and was able to fix it the same way, my Glock 26 does not have the issues.....yet lol. Before the mods I could chamber a round, drop the mag then fire the round and the spent case would dribble out of the mag well, after the mod the same scenario the case jumps happily out of the ejection port, the extractor and slide hang on to the brass all the way to the ejector. Have not tested the Kahr yet to see if a spent case comes out of the mag well but it's a good way to find out if your extractor is doing the second part of it's job.

I guess that is the long way of telling you that I believe it is something similar with the Kahrs, I will report back after I am able to try it out.

A firm wrist may be all that's necessary to cure the problem. If you allow the gun to recoil too freely that could be your problem. There isn't a lot to hold onto in a CM380.
